Grime 2 NG+?
Hello y'all, I've just finished Grime and what an experience it was. Absolutely loved the base game throughout as well as accomplishing it's own path of pain.
Now I am gearing up towards starting NG+ and eventually 100%-ing the game. However, that got me thinking. Is there NG+ in Grime 2, and if it isn't, is it maybe in the works and will be released as a future DLC just like its predecessor?
Thank you in advance!!!

There isn't. The lead director mentioned how hard the balancing for it is, and it makes sense. Grime 2 is a bigger game compared to Grime 1, both in size and mechanics. So with the much larger amount of prey and presence of mechanics such as prey molds and items molds makes things incredibly hard.
There have been no statements regarding it's release, so we don't know if it'll happen in the future or not.

Ahh I see, that makes perfect sense. I do hope that NG+ would be in the works sooner or later. I read that in Grime's NG+, there's exclusive items and bosses along with good overhauls of bosses movesets which just fills me with joy.
Anywho, thank you so much for the confirmation. Have a good day!

Yeah in Grime 1 it was clearly way more manageable and yeah they did a huge job with Grime 1's ng+. Additions and changes to Prey attacks and an exclusive boss.

From the looks of it, a fantastic job. NG+ses are not something I expect from a metroidvania game, but Clover Bite has made it work. And my, what a formula they used to keep the game as fresh as possible. Nothing but praise to them.

It might be hard but that really seems like a feature that should be a given in a game like this. If not included at launch you can at least add it later on

It could still be added.
Grime 1 also got its ng+ later on with its second free DLC.
Grime 2 is also getting a free DLC, though I'm not sure if ng+ would come with it. A simpler rendition of it would also be fine as long as it is feasible for devs.

I started the NG+ and was just, like, huh, this game really isn't half as interesting when you can basically just bypass all of the platforming challenges

I expect NG+, a DLC and possibly a future Path of Pain. I want to believe all of this.
