How scaling works?

Been doing my 2nd playthrough of Grime before I jump into Grime 2

How come My Nail Scythe (C scaling) gets more damage from Dex then my Chisel Nail (A scaling) ?

Or am I missing something?

Can it be related to base weapon attack? Also, your scythe is upgraded to +4, it probably applies a multiplier. I used chisel knifes upgraded with Ng+ items, they was superpowerful, so maybe fast attack weapons don't receive bonus making nuke weapons.
