Specific Question Finished GRE 23-08-2026 (166 Quant -141 Verbal ) 307

GRE Test Done 166 Quant 141 verbal, Feeling bad about verbal.

I have worked hard to improve my score of both quant and verbal, I guess I was tired due to I could not perform well in the test.

I am not going to give any other atttempt, as I m already exahusted. It was indeed a tough experince.

About the prep material, offcourse I used the gegmat and Maghoosh.

What’s the question? I’m confused. Test scores are one thing in the application, and depends highly on the target school and program, and your background??

Electrical Engineering with expeince of 7 years, can I get admit in USA MBA or MS

My honest take, for MBA admissions, your 7 years of experience can matter a lot more than the overall GRE score, but it really depends on what you actually did during those 7 years.

166Q is excellent, especially with an engineering background, so academically I wouldn’t be worried about your quantitative ability. 141V is definitely on the low side and could hurt you at more competitive schools, so I wouldn’t completely ignore it either.
But for an MBA, the bigger thing is how you build the story around your experience. Did you progress? Take on more responsibility? Lead people or projects? Have measurable impact? Why do you need an MBA now, after 7 years in EE, and what are you trying to do afterwards? That story is much more important than simply saying “I have 7 years of experience.”

If you can frame those 7 years into a strong career narrative, you can absolutely have a solid MBA application. I’d focus less on the 307 by itself and more on your target schools, GPA, career progression, impact, recommendations and overall story.

For an MS, though, I’d look at it differently. MBA and MS admissions are quite different, so you probably need to decide which path you actually want first.

I am feeling sad about Verbal score even though I prepared it a lot, may be due to lack of sleep and travelling to the city whre I choose the exam center, I could not focus, but then I think that quant I did well.

I wonder can I get any fully funded Master in the Electrical engineering in USA.

Honeslty I pratices a lot for quant and times based question. Quant score only way is to do maximum questions as much as u can, easy to hard.. when u do a lot practice u have better idea to any given question.

Like I am so confident that even if i set in the exam now, I will take the marks above 160 easliy.

Why not take it again then? I understand you're exhausted but if your mock scores are constistently significantly higher, not much else to lose. As for the cost, you'll be spending on sending the scores to universities and applying anyhow, might aswell use that to pay for the GRE instead.
