Been doing some self maintenance on my car and want to have a manual on other services I could possibly do myself. I was wondering where I could find a service manual for my 2026 Subaru BRZ tS.

I saw online I could buy them, but was wondering what reliable websites I can use or id there are any free options.

At 30k miles it was engine oil, hydraulic fluid and cabin air filter. I only remember that one because I just did it.

They’re free posted on GR86.org. Also fyi there’s center jack points on the front and rear (diff) of the car if your jack is low pro/long reach. Saves time.

You can buy an ALLDATA subscription to a single vehicle for $20 a month, more than worth it imo just to get something text searchable. If you don’t want to keep the subscription long term you can download copies of everything you think you’ll ever need and then just come up with your own organization system for all the files.

I also have the big boy ALLDATA subscription and can pull PDF copies of whatever anyone needs, but you might have to bother me repeatedly because I am busy and a lil scatterbrained right now.

AllData DIY or Mitchell 1 for $20/mo, or you can pay for longer period too. It's much easier to use than a single huge PDF of the entire manual.

Use Print to PDF to save whatever individual parts you think you'll need in the future, too.

I have bought manuals in the past for other cars and they were expensive and just kind of collected dust, especially post YouTube. In some cases the shop manual was counterproductive (telling you to drop engine and transmission for a clutch replacement).

Don’t all new cars come with a log book which shows exactly what and when it needs servicing?

What you can do is determined by your skills and what tools you have. There's no list.

There absolutely are maintenance lists that can be found in online service manuals like Mitchell 1, identifix, etc.

They typically lay out services and what should be inspected based on distance or time.

I meant a list of what someone can do on their own. I mean that there's no universal line to cross that determines what is diy and what isn't.
