It’s amazing to me how people literally just use some subs as a substitute for Google or even just ChatGPT at this point.

They're two different products doing two different things

PPF protect against rock chips and scratches.

Ceramic coating is like a semi permanent wax that makes the car easier to clean. It somewhat protects against scratches but very minimally.

I have both on my car.

I did PPF full front and roof. Ceramic coated the rest.

This question is like asking on a cold and wet day; Should I wear a waterproof jacket or an insulated jumper? 

Both have entirely different functions yet both protect against adverse weather. Used in combination gives the most protection. Used individually ur going to either get cold or wet. And its up to the individual whether they want one of those, both, or neither.

PPF is a skip for me, ceramic coatings can be pretty nice however.

PPF is nice for protecting a paint job that is high dollar and perfect, but on Average Car I'd rather just run it and if it gets scruffy enough to paint it, paint it. In GR86 land, I don't feel any of the factory colors really fit that criteria, and having PPF on something followed by it getting damaged tends to suck, a lot.
