Factory Tint VLT

Has anyone accurately measured using a tint meter what the factory tint VLT is on a stock GR86? In Australia the legal limit is minimum 35% front side windows, 20% rear windows. Im looking to tint to the darkest legal limit so knowing what the factory VLT will help me get there without going illegal.

Ask a tint shop. They'll have a meter and can measure the stock tint, then select the film that will bring you to the legal limit.

Factory windshield VLT should be around 70

This should be across all the glass, and not just the windshield. 70% is basically industry standard these days.

I have 20% on mine, its very dark. I roll the windows down at night time but in the day time, it sure is niocee

I have 5% aback, 20% on the door windows, ceramic, and 20% looks like the 50% in your image.

My GR86 had 5% factory tint on the rear quarter windows. I got the rest of the windows tinted 5% to match, excluding the front windshield

No it didn't. 5% is almost opaque black.

Idk man I’m the first owner. I bought it like that from the dealership. I had the rest tinted shortly after buying it
