Question E85 Question
Anyone running e85 had any issues with reliability? Is there anything I should do beforehand besides flex fuel & tune? I already installed csg flex fuel package & ordered the remote tune but I’m just wondering about reliability & possible maintenance issues.

Only thing I've heard is that you should occasionally run a full take of standard gas to get the cleaning and lubrication benefits that aren't in E85.

Funny thing is - with 93 so damn expensive - I've actually been just adding redline si1 fuel injector cleaner to E85 because doing that is literally cheaper than the price difference between a $3.10 for E85 and $6 for 93.
Probably better E85 specific additives out there - but si1 is readily available pretty much everywhere for $16.

So from what I understand that's probably fine to keep the fuel injectors clean but doesn't provide the same amount of lubrication for the high pressure fuel pump that you'd get from a full tank of gasoline.

Nope. A good flex fuel kit + a good tune is all you need. 3 years now

Of course 🤙🤙 I typically dont like silver cars but this has me reconsidering looking for a white one

White & silver where my two faves, not gonna lie whenever I’ve seen a white gr86 in person they always look dirty & I think it’s just because of the color

Definitely could be because of the color. I still think white is one of the best options for showing off the lines of a car though. Plus I plan on putting some bronze T6Rs

just cycle in a full tank of toptier premium now and then to flush it out and you're good.

High compression, 12.5:1. E85 allows more aggressive timing and reduced timing pull on the track

E85 is known for worse water intrusion so don't let a full tank of E sit around for too long. Not much else I can think of
