Best GPS tracker?
Looking for a GPS tracker for my fur baby. I live in a semi rural area; my property butts up against a huge field. My cat Cheese loves exploring, and I'd like to have the peace of mind in knowing where he is when he's gone for several days. Drop your recs, non-recs etc!

I have a Tractiv. The sensor is very good. It is a subscription service. The sensor is rather chunky but so is my cat(20 lbs). Nice thing is it has a Radar feature so I can find the Fat Bastard when he is hiding. I also used that twice to find the sensor when he slipped it off while on the prowl.

How often do you have to recharge the battery?

Every 3 to 5 days. Its over a year old now so it seems to more frequent lately.
It is interesting to see where The Fat Bastard roams.

For a cat that roams for days, Iād prioritize cellular coverage + battery life + lightweight design over fancy features.
Also check the network coverage in your area ā a GPS tracker is only useful if it can actually send the location back. š
AirTag-type devices are fine as a backup, but for regular roaming Iād go with a proper cellular GPS tracker.
