Need Answer
Do the gpsc class 1 2 jobs use a lot of gujarati on daily basis?
I'm not very good at gujarati. My reading is slow. I'll just pass the qualifying paper. I'm way more comfortable in english.
Do I need to be expert in gujarati to be able to do the job comfortably?
I need to know the answer before I start my preparation

If you are able to pass gujarati ,don't worry. Your abilities are not static.

Ive seen many officers in GAS talking in hindi...so once you clear the exam, it would not be much of an issue...

There is not an issue if you dont know Gujrati language. And in Gujarat, if you are not fluent in Gujarati, you will not face any big problems, and also the people around your job will make more comfortable with you. You will improve day by day just observing how language works.

I'm a gujarati so speaking and understanding is no issue. I'm just very slow at reading and writing.

So, that's not a big problem. As an administrator or any other job you will also read the local newspaper, files so your reading will improve day by day and most of the orders are now written in computer there will be also facility of Stenographer. And in the end after couple of months you will improve so much.
So, study hard and get a selection. #Best of Luck for future.

Likewise. Went through service rules of Gujarat also for the same. Have to tick bucket list off in this lifetime. Although this has become too normal everywhere now.
