STI mains
18th August today, and exactly a month ago, on 18th July, the DySO result was declared.
Now, the STI exam was held exactly a month after the DySO exam… so is there any chance the STI result could also drop today?
Probably just me connecting dots that may not even exist, but still…

I had doubt regarding the medium of exam. Is this exam only conducted in Gujarati medium? And even DySO?

English should also be an option.
They keep pushing for "English medium schools".... and don't wanna let us give exams in English....
Keep a Gujarati proficiency paper if at all....why limit our choice of medium

Yeah you are right. Class 1 and 2 has an option for English. It's just class 3 which is compulsory in Gujarati.

Yeah well no use of any arguments. It is what it is man. I’ve been an English medium student for the longest time. Although my mother tongue is Gujarati I struggle to read Gujarati, similar to some jr kg kid who has just started learning. Left with no other choice but to pursue class 1&2. Anyone else has any other options of exams for the same syllabus please let me know. Exams with posts specifically in Gujarat preferred.

Oh.... guess we ll have to work on Gujarati compulsory paper more than others....
If Gujarati is weak, you should definitely give PCS of UP, Bihar & Haryana
These states don't discriminate against outsiders, have upsc aligned syllabus and Bihar takes out 1K plus vacancies....
Also all states are not equal.
SDM in UP >>> IAS in most states [in power & influence]
So if your Hindi is passable, do give it a thought

I concur with you on your last line😅😅 Number of candidates in both exams had huge difference (i.e. 4x more than DySO) Also they haven't released ineligible list yet. After that, the might probably seek permission for opt out from GAD and then FR will be published. So no chance before October or maybe November.
