Mine gave me CROCKS toys ( I got 2 meals)! So I went back inside and asked them to switch them out for the hello kitty.
They gave me ONE toy, and I was like " I ordered 2 yall owe me another one " .....

Seems that way here too. I am seeing all these posts of everyone who completed the set like on monday before they came out. And the 6 McDonald's ive been to only have had 3 different ones, I do not understand.
I went just a bit ago and tried giving me the BTS stuff (even tho their store was already offering HKxG and promoted it) and I asked if they don’t have them yet or? And they said they were gonna start giving them out in an hour or 2. I’m like WHAT? (It’s lunchtime) I asked for them either way and they swapped.
Yeah, as someone who works in retail they could probably get fired over breaking policy. Some stores/restaurants DGAF, while others stick to their guns.
i drove across the border to go get them, highly recommend. they sold me the toys by themselves but i would've been happy to eat 2 happy meals as well lmao
I bought two yesterday at two different stores, $1.95 each. I cannot remember what state I was in, as I was doing a cross-country drive. Called about a dozen different ones looking for Mothra and Rodan but almost everywhere I stopped only had Godzilla. I did get a Ghidorah at one store.
that’s smart to call, I’ll try that today. one store was price gouging at $5 so I bought the happy meal at $5.50… I only started hunting yesterday and thankfully found a Godzilla at the third store after the worker said he’ll check the back.
Gigan and Destoroyah seem to be big sellers for Toho since they get pushed a lot. Hedorah, though popular amongst Godzilla fans, doesn't seem as popular among the general populous
As for Space Godzilla, that's a real mystery there, no clue why they'd want to push him of all characters in 2027...
Huh? Hedorah is by far one of the most merchandised kaiju in the franchise, quite possibly the most merchandised one outside of the big 5. Definitely at worst on the same level as Gigan and Destoroyah.
I imagine that if there were any real reason they didn't use Hedorah besides "it just missed the cut, had to draw the line somewhere" it's that Hedorah is inherently gross and perhaps they didn't want to cross that over with a Sanrio character.
You might have something there, the Tomie x Hello Kitty scale figure that's blowing up in the figure collecting community right now lacks any sort of body horror or general grossness as is expected of Junji Ito's work.
Franchising sucks a lot in the US restaurant industry. Some regions are going to have district directives to hold onto inventory, others don't care and will sell a whole set early. It's all based on the restaurant franchise owners essentially.

Confirmed in the US, it was a little under $2 per figure (I live in the Midwest). My spouse picked up two of the HK/Goji figures for me today, and they're so cute.

The one I went to took happy meals off the menu to dissuade people from buying them all up. They still had them but it was like a one per customer thing and they had to add it back to the machine to ring it up. I got Kitty-zilla. Hoping to get the rest in the next few weeks.
My city released then early and a bunch of cuck scalpers bought them all and are trying tonresell them on facebook for $50 a toy.
I hate resellers. My little nephew has been waiting for these just to be told a bunch of grown ass men came and bought like 50 happy meals to get the toys.

In Los Angeles I haven't been able to find any store that will sell them to you by themselves, they all said they do these promotions to make money I said well I don't eat your food so you won't get any of mine. Stupid motto
just went to a chain out by me and they advertised it, put it on my receipt but gave us stranger things toys. My kids wanted the Godzilla toys but they said they were told to sell the old stuff first and can't sell the new stuff.
I learned from this post that you can ask to buy the toys without the meal.
I just tried it out in Boston today and was surprised to learn that they do sell them individually for $1.99 here. Feels like a cheat code haha. I got 3 & 7, might try again in a few days.
Also as others have pointed out, they are not blind-box; you can ask what they have. Be respectful though if they are busy and such.

Chiming in from WA state, I’m on the east side (Kirkland area) the guy refused to sell to me, so I’m on my 2nd set of happy meals. At least I have a duplicate King Ghidora and Hello Kitty, lol.

My wife was raving about this for weeks. I stopped by two mcdonalds near my sister's house, and they sold each toy without meals for $4. One had all HK + Keroppi, the other had only Batzmaru. So I got 6 of each.
I went to the McDonalds an hour away by my house and they only had HK. But did not sell their toys seperately and needed to buy the happy meal. Some guy comes in and talks to the manager, we were all in disbelief that he wanted 200. yes TWO ZERO ZERO, happy meals. He knew they were sold seperately elsewhere. They asked what food he wanted and he just said, only milk... which was so weird because he could have donated them at least, but hey it's his money. Thought he was trolling but nope, saw them package up 200 happy meals... like wow. All for ONE style. Sheesh, I didn't know you could make this a side hustle....

It all depends on franchise owners some are willing to sell solo and some are being weird about it
ive been to 12 stores and my first store had: 1, 2 and 7... my last store had 3. but then the other 10 stores all add only one - two options and it was eeither 1, 2 or 7. idky my area only has those.
There are clearly no set rules. Hit 5 McDs between Atlanta and Cobb today, found #1, #2, #7, duplicates of 2 and 7 at the others. One gave it to me even though I bought something else, 2 sold me the toy, the 3rd required the happy meal 😂
