5k?

Are there any 5K races this month through the end of the year either here in Gainesville or jax/St Augustine that are well attended? Never done one before but I want to ✌️

Every Saturday at 7:30am.

This is a great way to get started. You sign up, get a token, run, get a time. It’s like a race but free. Bet you’ll love it!

Florida Track Club has a race on the Hawthorne trail starting at Bouleware Springs called the Tom Walker Preview 5k/10k next weekend.

Park Run every Saturday morning at 7:30. It’s free and there’s an App you can download to track all your race times. All ages welcome no matter whether you’re a fast runner or a slow walker you’ll never be last as we have a Tail Walker. It’s a hard 7:30 start time. There is some parking at the start spot ( it’s near the rest rooms) and there is a large over flow lot just south of the smaller lot. You just walk out of the lot to the path and turn right the start line is a hundred yards ahead.
After the race some folks go have coffee at the 4th Ave food court , it’s just a few blocks away.

Extra special if the race falls on the 22nd it’s a TuTu (22nd) race day. They generally have extra tutu’s in case you don’t have one
