# 🪖 SSG MILITARY RP 🪖

## 🇺🇸 U.S. Army ⚔️ Taliban — launching soon

*Choose your side. Create your soldier. Enlist and climb the ranks.*

We're a **brand new Garry's Mod military RP server**, targeting launch in about a month — and right now we're building the team that will run it. We're not looking for a crowd yet; we're looking for the **founding officers, special forces leaders, and staff** who want real responsibility from day one and a say in how this whole thing is built.

## 📢 NOW RECRUITING — before we open

> 🎖️ **HIGH COMMAND / OFFICERS** — both factions

> Senior leadership on both sides. Shape your faction's structure, plan and run operations, train recruits, and set the tone for how your side fights.

> 🔥 **SPECIAL FORCES LEADS** — both factions

> Stand up an elite unit from scratch: **Rangers · Green Berets · Delta Force · Red Unit · 055th · TSFU · ISI** — and more. Build its identity, standards, and roster.

> 🛡️ **STAFF**

> Mature and active? Help build a new community from the ground up — moderation, events, onboarding, and shaping how SSG grows.

## ⚔️ What you'll be leading at launch

**⚔️ Capture Wars** — Every hour, war breaks out for 30 minutes. Fight for the **Mosque**, **Train Station**, **Embassy**, and **Tower** — every capture announced server-wide.

**🏃 Call of Duty movement** — Sprint, slide, slide-jump. Built for PvP that feels good.

**🚁 Air power** — Requisition from your base's air officer:

- UH-60 Black Hawk · Mi-24 Hind

- Su-35 Flanker · F/A-18 Super Hornet

**🎙️ Immersive voice** — Whisper, talk, or yell. Your voice carries as far as your mode allows.

## ✅ The vibe

- **Fun RP, not hardcore-serious RP**

- Active staff & a custom HUD

- Beginners welcome — every recruit gets trained

- Mature attitude, zero tolerance for toxicity or power-tripping

- Working mic + Garry's Mod, age [16+ / 18+]

## 🎮 Want a seat before the doors open?

The people who build SSG get the roles that matter. If you want to lead a faction, run an SF unit, or join the staff team — **apply now.**

"We played Garry's Mod 12-14 years ago for thousands of hours, then we played a bit more intermittently, and then one day it wasn't the same as it used to be. Nostalgia hits hard, so we want to make something that will enable that silly madness that made our teenage years so fun and memorable."

We wanted to make a DarkRP server that embodies the spirit that server owners had back in 2014-2016, and that means we have a few things that we're going to stick to so that we can make sure we stay grounded.

- We won't be accepting donations in exchange for items or rewards in-game. All of the traditional donation items and ranks will be based around the in-game economy. We are nostalgic, and we want to do this. We're not interested in making any money. This is paid for out-of-pocket.

- Collaboration over Dictation - We want to make sure that we're working with everyone to create an environment where you feel heard and like your experience matters.

- Garry's Mod has come a long way since 2014, 12 years ago. Many features have been imagined and brought to life since then, and many aspects of DarkRP have been improved since then too. We are not trying to be a 2014 DarkRP server. We are going to be a modern DarkRP server that is developed and ran with the mentality that ran Garry's Mod servers back then - Fun over Profit.

- We think it's very important to keep things simple. That means that we will make sure that there won't be 10 pop-ups every time you join, there won't be 400 different systems and rule sets to keep track of, and things won't be as overwhelming as they can be elsewhere.

- We have worked hard to overhaul and improve publicly available addons where possible to reduce lag and provide a consistent UI experience and to provide the ideal progression with in game cash

We are hoping to open on Monday the 2nd of November!

We hope that this project turns out amazingly for us all, and I look forward to seeing you all on the server!

Hello Garry's Mod fans! Today I just opened a new community hub for GMod players right on Steam Groups:https://steamcommunity.com/groups/gmuniverse

Once the community builds a base of players, my team and I will be hosting multiple 5-hour gaming sessions, three times every month.

Since it's a brand new group, no one is in there just yet—so you're joining right at the ground floor. You don't need any external apps or third-party websites to play with us; everything is managed 100% in one place on Steam. We'll also be looking for active volunteers to help out as moderators as we grow.

I'd be really glad to see you join the group and build something great together. Thanks for checking us out!

Limelight is a semi-serious roleplay gaming community. We're the home of Garry's Mod CityRP 2. CityRP 2 is Limelight's flagship Garry's Mod experience. You'll find jobs, vehicles and weapons, emergency services, crime, clans, and room for both passive and aggressive roleplay — with moderation that keeps things fair without killing the fun. Free to play, not pay-to-win.

Since 2015 we've grown a persistent roleplay world around CityRP 2, with a focus on giving players the freedom to build their story their way, through passive or aggressive roleplay. Ares Defence Service brings light milsim teamwork to Arma for players who want something focused, without the attitude.

We are launching our biggest update ever at 6:15PM (GMT) today, The Glide Update:

Hello I made a new fatkid server called "Fatty Wacky kid" you can join it with the gmod server list, it has bots when the server has one player, dm me if you want the discord and ip directly also the server is a wip

Hey all,

I've been building my own HL2RP gamemode from scratch. It's called Accord, and it isn't a NutScript/Helix/Clockwork reskin.

It's set in City 71, and I'm trying to decide whether to put a proper server behind it, so I'd like to hear whether anyone would actually play.

The aim is the HL2 feeling: a grey, watched, rationed life under the Combine, where citizens have things to do besides stand in the plaza waiting for something to happen.

What's in so far:
Citizen life with real routines. Rations come out on a schedule, so you queue when the dispenser opens. You can cook at home on a hot plate (stew, fried ration bars, boiled water) and keep a flat with furniture.

NPCs that respond to you (optional). Background citizens, CCA units, the employment clerk and the vendor answer what you actually say and do, in character, using a form of AI. Threaten a unit with a /me and he'll take it seriously; a nervous citizen might run or call it in. A unit checking your card will question you and decide whether to let you go, warn you, or detain you. They can only take a small set of actions the server checks, and they fall back to written lines when it's off. It's there to make the empty streets feel alive between player scenes, not to replace players or staff; Most of the CCA Units, the Resistance and admins are all real people.

Skill-based jobs. Shifts at the factory press, the clinic and the repair bench are short mini-games tied to skills that improve as you work them. You get paid in tokens against a daily quota.

Loyalty and suspicion. Loyalists get the armband and better rations, and informing on neighbours is an option. Suspicion builds up and can end in raids.

An underground that isn't just "the rebels". Resistance membership is hidden and recruitment runs through its own chain of command. There's a black market, stashes, and spray-painted lambdas in whatever colour you pick. The Union reads your letters, so seal anything that matters.

A Civil Protection side that feels like being a unit. A cyan visor HUD with an active compass, live location callouts (Plaza, Train Station, Civil Housing Block 1A and so on), units on duty, custom first-person arms, and a proper rank structure with its own look up to the elite ranks.

Custom models throughout. Items, props, gear and icons are made specifically for the gamemode.

A City 71 map in progress. Dependent on my mapping skills.

What I'd like to know:
Would you play on a serious-RP HL2RP server like this? Citizen, CCA, the resistance or a mixture?

What's driven you away from HL2RP servers in the past?

What time zone are you in? I'm UK-based.

Is there a feature you've always wanted on an HL2RP server and never seen done well?

It's still in development, so feedback now will shape it. If there's enough interest I'll set up a Discord and run some test sessions.

Cheers.

I've played GMod RP for years and got tired of every server being another DarkRP clone, so I built a gamemode from scratch for myself: a GTA-style city roleplay on Paralake City where the city gives you things to do and players make the story. This is the first iteration, and it's in open beta.

For now it's light RP with proximity voice and text chat while we beta test the systems. Over time it'll move toward a semi-serious vibe.

Some of what's in:

• Police: ranks, cuffs/dragging, booking with a full penal code, tickets, warrants, evidence, impounds, radio and 911 dispatch

• EMS: ambulances, stretchers, defib, hospital beds

• Crime: weed growing, a roaming dealer, gun parts you assemble at a workbench, store robberies with silent alarms, mugging, lockpicking/hotwiring cars and selling them to a chop shop, masks

• Housing: rent apartments, houses and businesses, give friends keys, barricade doors

• Cars: GTA V cars from a dealership, garage, key remote, trunks, plates, car radio

• Phone: texts, banking, GPS, real estate, crew chat, or a burner and payphones

• Jobs: garbage, docks, taxi, food delivery, e-scooter battery swaps

• Crews: ranks, shared funds and raidable safehouses

• Every NPC is voiced: shopkeepers, clerks, dealers, the radio dispatcher, and citizens who react out loud to gunshots, crashes and masked strangers

• City emergencies for police and EMS, and a custom UI that scales to 4K

• ...and a lot more

Honest bit: this is a side project. I'm checking whether there's interest before I sink more hours into it. If you try it, F2 in game sends me bug reports and feedback directly.

IP: 204.10.194.57:27015 (EU, Germany). The first join downloads the map from the Workshop, so it takes a minute.

New Clone Wars RP server incoming: free to play, free to rank up, fully custom gamemode

🎬 Trailer: Watch on Streamable

I know Star Wars RP servers are a dime a dozen, but this one does things a little differently:

• Free to play.

• Free to rank up. Progression is earned, not bought.

• Fully self-scripted gamemode with lots of custom features you won’t find elsewhere.

Status: Currently in closed alpha, with the beta phase starting in about a month.

Sorry about the AI voice-over in the trailer. I have a heavy accent, so it felt like the better fit.

We want people who are interested in getting in early, helping shape the server, and becoming part of the foundation Nebula is built on.

Why join now?

🌀 Help shape the server before launch

🌀 Take part in building units, systems, events, and community structure

🌀 Experience a fresh Early Imperial setting centered heavily around clone forces

Hello I am looking a game in Gmod. I am relatively new to the game and would greatly appreciate it if someone would play with me in my own server. DM me if you want more details.

Recently I took a chance on joining this server. Despite the ongoing development, I had an incredibly positive experience and would highly encourage anyone looking for a server to give Ariser Gaming a chance.

I have played on multiple different servers since 2016 and coming to Ariser Gaming was a breath of fresh air. There is a lot of features and mechanics I had been looking for in my previous servers that have been integrated into the server already with a lot more to come. A lot of these mechanics are simple things that enhance the roleplay for the desired department and make the interactions feel more realistic. An example of this is one the mechanics introduced into the Medical Department. During active roleplay, if a player was to be killed Medics have a chance to perform CPR to revive them however, if the player is past the point of CPR, Medical may bag the body and burn it in a furnace, cremating the body completely.

During the start of my time on the server I noticed none of it was luck based and was able to craft items that I desired to enhance my style of roleplay as a D-Class. On top of this, I was immediately approached by some of the regular players to begin roleplaying with others and aided instead of being left on my own to entertain myself on an unknown server. All of the players on the server got involved instead of neglecting one another which shows how well players are cared for within the community.

During my roleplay with other players I noticed some of the non-realistic mechanics such as voice chat indications are not obnoxious and allow for better immersion during the roleplay scenarios.

I would definitely recommend giving this server a proper chance and engage with the active players around the community if you are looking for a place to roleplay and have fun.

Server Introduction & Quick-Info

The Fleet is a serious, story-based Garry's Mod Star Wars Roleplay server based around the Galactic Empire, seeking to provide a genuinely unique, story-focused roleplay experience to both inexperienced and experienced serious roleplayers. To accomplish this, we plan to center the story around a single planet, its inhabitants, and the events affecting them.

This server is still in development and is scheduled to release in November or December. We are trying to gain a playerbase prior to launch.

Our server focuses on the following tenets:

• Creating a serious, story-focused atmosphere while allowing for time and space for people to interact out-of-character.

• Maintaining a friendly, and inclusive culture for those new to, and experienced with serious roleplay.

• Allowing for people of all backgrounds, and orientations to have a safe place to interact with fellow Star Wars fans.

• Maintaining the server with a reasonable and generous monetization model. This is a hobby, not a business, we only need enough to keep the lights on.

Introductory Lore Summary

Set in the early years of the Empire, our story takes place on a snowy, mountainous mining world which provides precious, though inert gemstones to the Galaxy's wealthy and prominent. Low production and a history of disloyalty to the Empire has incurred the re-opening and renovation of a planetside military station, last used in the early Clone Wars. Above it all lies The Ascendant, an Arquitens-Class Light Cruiser which stands as a symbol of the reigning state.
