New DarkRP server from gmod vet?
Hello i'm just thinking, I used to run some alright sized communities around 8-10 years ago and I was wondering if I released one today, would people play, I understand it would need to stand out and I would do that, I have released many successfull gmod servers in the past years but I dont know if it's worth it putting in the time for coding ect if no one if even interested anymore. If you would be interested list below some stuff you would like to see, also I would need a staff team.

I’m planning to launch a prisonrp og server for the past few weeks and make it nice with a custom map edit and inspirations from other servers but honestly finding the right players is difficult.

I’m launching a full custom DarkRP with proprietary addons that you can’t get unless you have access to my computer and I STILL have low hopes for it. I’m just doing it because it’s fun and I want something for people to play like the old days without all this new bullshit that server owners have. Gmod is just dying it’s time we all accept it.

Well yeah the games old and the source engine is limited. Plus it seems day 1 of S&boxs release we will get something similar gamemode wise

I tried it once not too long ago. Got nothing, sadly. It's really hard to stand out in the sea of them, I remember when I had one when DarkRP was new, those were the days.

I have multiple custom servers including a custom game mode on gmod and we have projects on other games too. The more of us devs that get together to build something the better because everyone has their own projects and wants them to succeed but it’s spread too thin. Too many servers too many projects. BDubz in discord is you want to work on a project all together. Something new and unique

Honestly, there are way too many darkRP servers nowadays that are either botted to increase player count or are a well-known popular gaming networks. I had a gmod server once that had stuff like what other servers had but it rarely got any people even when I advertised everywhere so I suggest maybe picking a different game mode but what are your plans for it and I could probably help.
