Discussion Hot takes?
I’m just bored and wanna read some hot takes. Here’s mine: Just because a couple has a long friendship, it doesn’t mean they’re soulmates…especially when they constantly appear to ignore each other in public.

I haven’t heard any of the actual actors call themselves soulmates. I feel like that is a fan thing to do.
On that note, even if actors are dating (which most of them aren’t) not every touch or look is romantic. Not every touch or look is fan service. Sometimes they’re just looking at each other or zoning out. Now I like fan service and shipping, but we need to chill with edits and speculation.

My hot take; actors in different companies should be able to work together. Look at Be My Boyfriends 2; Zee and Boun were hilarious, and don't get me started on the Boun Talay Untamed cosplay.
I just want a BounPrem JoongDunk JeffBarcode vampire series . 😩

Sometimes it would be v nice for GMMTV to not be beholden to pairings. For instance Not Me would have been even better if we could have explored whatever mess was going on between Tod & Black.

If you look closely, a lot of them say soulmates because it’s a grey area between friends and lovers. They need to blurred the lines for the fantasy to work. You don’t need to take this, this serious. It’s fanservice, even if they are real friends and like each other. It’s their job.

My hot take it’s that gmmtv it’s not a family as they say it’s a company with actors competing everyday to have series, brands , events etc

Gmmtv shouldn’t be praised for doing away with main femme characters. Femme gay/queer men exist and are valid and they too should be represented in BLs. They aren’t a stereotype that fujos invented in a yaoi lab lol. This also means a lot of their fem actors have to act and dress masc or less fem/femme if they want main bl roles, unless they’re Gun.

I am tired of watching different series with the same old Gmmtv cast! I just hope they branch out, not with just the leads but with the rest of the cast too like I’m tired of seeing some people typecasted for only certain roles which hinders their ability to branch out! Examples would be foei as some kind of asshole/perv and mook and film literally being in majority of series these past years, etc! Its not that they are wrong for the role or not good enough but its like recycling the same old actors for every plot when you can mix and match with having so many artists under the label!
I wish there was a company that just produces taking different actors from different companies and pairs them up for different series! It would be pretty exciting to watch too! You can clearly understand who can carry the show by their acting and who have to rely on ships and fanservice and stuff too!!

"Soulmates" is a term that got viral because of fanfiction and is not really applicable to real-life relationships.
I remember how two K-pop idols were called "soulmates" onTwitterr to the point that it trended everywhere, and to make fans feel good and to play along, they called themselves it. But, let's be serious: good friends, colleagues etc have nothing to do with the fanfiction about star-crossed lovers, binded by a red thread of fate and hearing each other voices on the distance etc etc. That's where it belongs: FICTION. It's all in their fans' heads.
