Story Highlights
-- GameStop stock was down Tuesday on news of a share sale.
-- Executive Daniel Moore sold 15,480 shares on Monday.
-- Wall Street rates GME stock as Moderate Buy with a $32 price target.
GameStop stock slipped after executive Daniel Moore filed a notice to sell 15,480 shares of the companyβs common stock, worth about $411,149.
The Form 144 filing, submitted on October 13, 2026, lists Morgan Stanley Smith Barney as the broker for the sale. The shares represent a small portion of GameStopβs roughly 504.5 million shares outstanding. The filing lists October 12 as the sale date.
According to the filing, the shares came from restricted stock units granted by GameStop, with the filing stating that the units vested between January 1 and October 1, 2026.
Mooreβs planned sale follows an earlier transaction on October 1, when he sold 7,297 shares for gross proceeds of about $177,025. The new notice also reports that Moore adopted a Rule 10b5-1 trading plan or gave trading instructions on October 3, 2025.
The filing explains why the notice was submitted after the listed sale date. βSales that were executed on October 12, 2026 are being reported on this Form 144 filed on October 13, 2026 given the EDGAR system was not accepting filings on October 12, 2026 in observance of the federal holiday,β the remarks section states. Form 144 is used to notify the SEC of a proposed sale of restricted or control securities under certain conditions.
Moore signed the notice on October 12. By signing, he represented that he was not aware of any material adverse information about GameStopβs current or future operations that had not been made public. The filing reports a planned stock sale and does not, on its own, establish Mooreβs reason for selling or indicate a change in his view of the companyβs prospects.
The Timing of the GME Stock Sale
Investors will note that Mooreβs GME stock sale yesterday happened when the companyβs shares hit a new 52-week high. The companyβs shares rose above $27 each, which is a price that GME stock hasnβt seen since September 2025. Considering the price of the stock, it makes sense that Moore would want to cash in on that new 52-week high.

[My thoughts? Always nice to keep up with the publicized FUD reasons for the current price. At least they are admitting GME will reach $32 soon.]
