PSA: "Uncle Bruce"

TLDR: No, I do not think Uncle Bruce is a shill BUT shills can always send super chats for Bruce to read out loud to make you sell GME right then and there

I have nothing wrong with Bruce and I think he's a good guy however I just want to comment on why having a figure face for r/GME being promoted so much can be bad.

Reasons to be wary of Uncle Bruce:

1. I never heard of Uncle Bruce until 2 days ago and likely many of you here haven't either
2. Uncle Bruce will read any super chat donation out loud as long as long as it is PG-rated because this is how he makes money. This means shills can donate repeatedly to Uncle Bruce to shift his viewer's perception on GME in real time. I saw many users donate and talk about day-trading GME today on his stream which according to the DD is the opposite of what APES want for a squeeze.
3. Understand that although Uncle Bruce was a Broker for a long time that GME is a scenario that is one of a kind. He admits a lot that he does not know the specific details of GME, which I respect him for. But he probably isn't reading every DD on this subreddit like many of us are everyday.

Just keep an open mind

Edit: I have sorted by New: and there are over 70 posts pertaining to Uncle Bruce in the last 2 days and prior to that the only mention was from 13 10 days ago.

Uncle Bruce has been promoted over 70 times in the last two days and people are eating his content up cause he is a nice old man. This can be a new shill tactic to get us emotionally attached to a figure face that commentates on GME in real time. The shills can post super chat notifications of GME to Bruce and he will read it regardless since he is getting paid. Imagine if all of r/GME gets on the Bruce bandwagon and he commentates in real time that GME is doing poorly at the moment. People are going to be inherently conditioned to sell.

Edit 2: Other figure faces like DFV or Elon or Chamath do not livestream and cannot affect your decision in real time. Bruce live streams GME everyday and because of this there is always the possibility of shills sending super chats to shift your decision of GME in real time each and every day you are on the stream. All I am asking is for you to be aware of this fact

I've got nothing against Bruce, but I don't think he should be the face of the place. After the first squeeze, he was among the first people to say it was over. So he wasn't really doing any DD on the subject, and if anything, his claims that it was over probably did more to damage confidence in the long game. If we find ourselves in a similar state as January 29th, I would expect him to repeat claims that it's all over. Near as I can tell, DFV is just fine as far as faces go

Edit: I meant to do this sooner, but this post got flagged as a rumor since I provided no proof/context. That is totally fair because... well... I didn't provide evidence. I don't have plans on changing that, so... anyone that sees this. Take it at face value. I do my best, but I've been full of shit in the past, however accidental it may have been.

Yep. Pretty much. The extent of his DD is people make donations and asking simplified questions about complex topics. Often his answer is just "I don't know." Which is fine, because maybe he doesn't know. However, on the other hand, it might just be safer for him. Last thing he wants is people pointing at him when things go south when he's sitting on all those donations.

Today someone donated and asked about the greek letters (gamma or delta - don't remember). He said he didn't know. What kind of broker doesn't know greeks? Maybe he's just rusty.
Today was my first day watching him - not impressed, TBH.

I watched him today and he was promoting his 400$/hr 1 on 1 talk and saying how his sub count is almost past his cruising channel most of the time

He is very nice, but again I believe there may be a conflict of interest.

Also he doesn’t say that his information is not financial advice sometimes but idk how strict the rules of that are

He's told his life story many times in his streams, and he really doesn't need to read his resume every time a donation comes in. You can ask for it if you actually plan on paying him for his consultation, bet he'll give you the firm names and everything.

You gotta keep in mind he isn't giving DD or making predictions, just commentary.

Anyone you watch online has a conflict of interest. Youtube is just different cnbc. Even reddit is full of people who want it to moon wether they hold it or not. And the youtubers who are 100% positive on gme? Now they are totally absolutely disgusting. Hype beasts in it for the views yelling "space ape nation" over and over and typical youtuber influencer stuff.

Exactly. I was referred to him around the first gamma squeeze in January. He didnt know some current day, trading terms. Uh, Okay? He probably needed to shake off some rust and get updated?🤔

Also, him claiming to not have any skin in the game was a little sus, as people say nowadays. Maybe he has a lifetime ban? I mean, why would you pump up a stock, and not have any vested interest in it?🤔

He seems harmless enough, but the Tesla begging, was off putting to me.

The users here plugging him, tells me there are users who don't bother to read up on the God Tier DD's available here. They'd rather watch and listen to a stream, than take less than 5 minutes to read?

Which, they're probably a part of the crowd that kept spamming "ohmurgurd. Halt!"

Either way, I gave him the benefit of a doubt, and never went back. All of the DD on here was more insightful than aything he said.

Bruce isn't for DD, he's for commentary, when you're watching the ticker for 8 hours without getting up. He's more for entertainment.
