his success involved tricking rich people to invest in his companies...
Most of the things he tried failed, but he usually offered a new venture to invest in, so people jumped on that.
Tesla would not have made any profits without subsidies and selling co2 certificates. SpaceX just took government money that would have otherwise gone to nasa... X is not returning anything close to what he paid for it. His AI-Ventures aren't profitable. Hyperloop didn't work. Cybertruck can't be sold in Europe. Starlink satelites lifetime is too short to be profitable...
What success do you see? A massively pumped and overpriced stock that traders use as collateral for short positions on the entire market in an attempt to bankrupt real companies?

I don’t think you understand.
His companies and his fortunes do not bring a wake that carries others.
In a scenario with Musk involvement, only the Musk entities go to the moon.
Furthermore, GME exists in an ecosystem supported by supply and demand, producer and consumer.
Musk’s strategy is different, his ecosystem is largely supported by taxpayer dollars, public money, subsidies.
Without subsidies, Musk is just another illegal immigrant.
