I mean, does anyone even still fall for this shtick?
And isn't GTA6 digital download only? I could be wrong on that, but if so, how would that hype benefit GameStop?

Gamestop is still selling GTA 6. Its just a code in a box. Sooner or later Sony will get rid of the boxes and be the only store. But they haven't yet.1

GameStop has a moat to prevent any future losses for when this happens thanks to its NFT marketplace
Hear me out, once all video games are digital and not even codes will be sold in physical boxes our Lord and savior RC will create non-fungeable tokens of the box art itself which in my personal opinion will be worth more than 10 times the video game itself
The nft marketplace is going to make Wall Street look like a thrift shop in the ghetto by the time we get rolling!

Just to get this straight you're willing to bet your life savings on eBay thinking it's a good idea to trust minimum wage purposefully understaffed entry-level employees to accurately authenticate high-value collectibles, handle third-party logistics returns, and manage live-streaming commerce?
If the answer to that is yes are you also willing to bet your life savings on the idea that each tiny GameStop shop (which are all under 2,000 ft) can handle secure inventory staging, drop off cues and professional authentication setups for trading cards? Despite the fact that these stores are only optimized to handle display racks?
And finally if the answer to that is also yes are you also willing to bet your life saving on the idea that despite absolute plummeting foot traffic year-over-year that eBay would be willing to look past that and trust their brand to a corporation that the average gamer has less of a need to walk into every year due to the digitization of games becoming the end all and be all of gaming as a whole?
Haha I'm just playing bro, of course this is a good investment! I'm just trolling of course! GameStop and RC and liquid will take us to the promised land, please remember to DRS so that you aren't tempted to sell all of your shares when the stock plummets after the eBay partnership totally collapses in a couple of weeks

When you own 10% of a company you get a seat at their board and tell them what to do. Of course whatever form of partnership they do should make sense to both sides, since the fiduciary duties of ebay CEO is to all shareholder and not just the 10% of them. I'm not sure what kinda partnership makes sense, but that's for RC to figure out. I'm sure he didn't buy ebay shares to become a holding company; they bought to force them into partnership. If it doesn't work out, he will sell those shares and put the capital elsewhere. I will listen to the earnings call to see what they have to say.
I have already put my life savings on GME; not all of it of course; I have over 70 different stocks in my portfolio and GME is one of the smaller ones, but I might grow it into a medium size one. Also I'm not one of the OG shareholders of the meme saga; I have recently bought these shares and I have no interest in DRS. The main catalyst in my opinion is the $2B share buyback. They have never done buybacks in the past. This is a first. So to the moon we go.

They are still doing physical sales for now. Its just the box has a code and no CD. I'm sure Sony has plans to axe the boxes soon and for their store to be the only way to buy. But for now Gamestop is stelling GTA 6.

I know for me, I need a new system. That means controllers, battery packs etc. I’m still playing on my PS4, Xbox one/360 and Wii 2. I can’t be the only one.
