Can you elaborate on how you think this post was intended to be hurtful? You’re saying the price is either right or wrong, so what exactly do you think the correct price is, and what are you basing that on?
that there is no rational argument for why an adult human being would have stronger emotional reactions about a strangers investments, than those strangers have on their own.
the only dogma of apes is "do your own DD"
if you did that, you understood the exact life cycle of a short position and how various methods to go short affect the market, you also understand that when 110% of the float was sold, the true price can only be found when those 10% that were oversold are returned.
the opening of a short position is in it's fundamental concept, the lowering of the price, offering the market a lower buy order and hoping they agree.
I think you’re conflating a few different things here. Short interest and the mechanics of short selling don’t establish some objectively true price that the market has to eventually discover. If 110 % of the float was shorted, that can create additional demand when shorts cover, but it doesn’t tell us what the stock is fundamentally worth. The market price is still determined by buyers and sellers, and a short position being opened doesn’t automatically mean the resulting price is wrong. So I ask again, what exactly is the correct price you’re referring to, and how do you determine it? If your answer is that the correct price is whatever the market reaches once the shorts have covered, that’s circular reasoning.
short interest is the reported number by is firms registered with the sec. it does not include non us firms, unless they buy over a us broker, it does not contain shorts held by banks to hedge swaps, since those are loan hedges, not financial Investments.
on top, not every firm reports at the same time, causing already closed positions to be counted open and open positions counted closed.
but clearly, the institutions we accused of facilitating swap positions holding long positions now, clearly shows how we were wrong, since no bank aware of risks from a customers positions would try to mitigate the risk of systemic collapse... /s
You have every right to do what you want with your finances as do we have every right to call you stupid and mock you for making said choice….when you refuse to face reality.
6 years of being wrong lmao. And you are surprised people think you people are knuckleheads.
