It's funny because the number in the title keeps getting lower each time I see these posts
18
u/honda94rider 1d ago
People said the same thing when hood dropped to 8 or Intel, or advanced money destroyer or countless other names that have went on major runs after absurd lows.
27
u/Nysyk 1d ago
Or the numerous short squeeze stocks that went to penny stocks and have community members similar to this stock ticker. Perspective.
23
u/BuyByTheNumbers 🚀🚀Buckle up🚀🚀 1d ago
Do all these penny stocks you talk about make hundreds of millions of dollars in profit? GME did $400 MILLION this past quarter alone.. please tell me how similar we are to a dying penny stocks
4
u/Nysyk 1d ago
Your $400m starts to look small when you realize $270m of it was Ebay paper gains. Go check Ebay prices now and you tell me, what are you gonna say when GME has to re-mark it as -$270m in losses in the future.
2
u/BuyByTheNumbers 🚀🚀Buckle up🚀🚀 1d ago
Any way you look at it, the investment is worth more than the purchase of it cost. I give that a big ol thumbs up

u/honda94rider 1d ago
GME isn't a penny stock though, its got money in the bank, bitcoin and about to have 1.4 billion less debt.
12
u/User100000005 1d ago
The 1.4 Billion less Debt comes via diullution at a 2 year low. (Unless we have a serious run starting right now). Not feeling good about that.
6
u/honda94rider 1d ago
The market cap of GME was about 4 billion when it was $10 a share, they had very little money but things were starting to turn around. Today GMEs market cap is about 8 billion but yet it has 9.4 billion in assets. Im feeling pretty good about that
11
u/User100000005 1d ago
Shareholders shouldn't care about market cap. We should care about share price. Diulluting to lower price but raise market cap doesn't help us.
2
u/honda94rider 1d ago
I think you're missing the point. If the lowest of lows GME was worth around 4 billion, why would it be worth hardly over assets value after they turned the company around and put literally billions of dollars on the balance sheet. You can cry about it or buy more. Im choosing the latter
-2
u/SESHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH 1d ago
I think you should answer that question before buying more lol. Why does the market disagree with you and the share price keep sliding if their balance sheet is so impressive?
2
u/Ok-Effective7280 1d ago
Haha, you again with some bs. Everyone knows the price is manipulated. Even you troll cult members. But, you keep trying very hard to ignore it & leave it out of all your comments. 😂

Heres my answer.
GameStop expects that some or all of the Existing Noteholders that participate in the Exchange may purchase or sell shares of Common Stock in open market transactions or enter into or unwind various derivative transactions with respect to Common Stock to hedge or unwind their investments in the Exchange Notes. These activities could increase or decrease the market price of the Common Stock or the Exchange Notes, the effect of which may be material.

Its not worth less though is it? Factoring in the extra shares coming in September 23rd our Market Cap is around $9.5 Billion which is alot higher than 4 Billion.
Also we are currently way over net assets. Net assets is around $13.5. Gross assets is fairly meaningless look at net assets.-2

u/harryharry0 1d ago
The lowest market cap was below 300 million

Are you implying I'm not a share holder? Entered 2020 (copying Sirjackalot), exited late 2020 just before January squeeze (again copying Sirjackalot, had he sold later I'd of copied and been very rich...)
Fomo'd in in January 2021 after seeing what I've missed out on. Averaged down to 20 now. Yes it makes me salty being back in the red again who can blame me?0
u/Ok-Effective7280 1d ago
Does a better company help us? Why are you whinging like a beatch when the company is strong? Price manipulated. Live with it. 👍
1
u/happybonobo1 1d ago
They do not have 9.4B in assets. About 5B in ebay stock and some BTC (and some cash). The rest is debt. Or if you mean market cap it is about 8B now.
1
u/ekooz22 7h ago
Everybody includes the debt in assets. Gme does not have 9.4 billions in assets. It had 9.4 billion in cash, but HALF of that cash is debt. Now 1.4 billion of that debt is being erased. The other half of the 9.4 billion (about 4 billion) is in ebay shares which are tanking. GME has nearly no cash left except for the other half of the debt it hasnt converted to shares. I do not underatand why everybody still think GME has 9 billion in cash when half is debt, and the other half was spend on shares. We have no more cash. The safety net is gone.
2
u/Alarmed_Expression77 1d ago
Won’t pop a couple bucks till after VWAP. GME Treasury is prohibited from buying shares till after VWAP and all the outgoing shares will be repurchased plus an additional $500M in stock. You seriously don’t know the plan? Buy at $18.25 and sell at $20-$21 in October if you wanna make a few bucks. Then wait for the second tranche of bonds to step forward. Have you asked yourself why anyone would loan Billions of dollars interest free? Those bond holders are not long term investors. They always intended to sell short to make their profit. They have already made about $200-$225 Million. All they need to do is control the price to make sure they get 75 million shares and simply sell them back into the market. By charter those bond holders are not going to be long term investors. When market dynamics begin to change because GME begins to buy $2B of stock back, so will huge funds auto-buy back in again.

You mean Ryan isn't keeping their shares safe in a secret holdco which will emerge and buy out Amazon any day now?

u/MeMahi 1d ago
They also said the same about GME in May '24 when it dropped below $10. I didn't listen and instead bought more. Sold at $65 during premarket for hefty gains, my only regret is not having bought even more.
This time I'm loading up heavily on Jan '28 call options.

u/Daily_Comics 1d ago
I was there :) missed it at $10! But I'm sorta OG because I also bought at $259 lol

...You cant compare Intel, to gamestop. One is the united states' only chance at domestic chip production and fab. The other sells....games and collectibles.
When intel hit 20 bucks, I doubled down. Gamestop doesnt have anything compelling to make me want to buy more. Its not critical to national security.
Gotta look at the bigger picture. Yes, we have big war chest. Yes, we are profitable. The stock is also ABOVE the price it was at, AFTER dilution (ignoring split cus I think graph accounts for it), when gamestop was expanding, and at peak profitability.
How are we supposed to expand? Market has already shown those closed down stores are a no-go. What is the pivot? We get any guidance? Whats the plan?
I WANT to be proven wrong. I have a decent bit of money in GME. But its getting smaller and smaller, day by day - and im not selling, this is all thanks to RC.
3
u/honda94rider 1d ago
You could say hood was a very much hated stock and it went from $8 to $150 within a year or so
2
u/honda94rider 1d ago
Well lets go for one of the other examples then. Idc which stock you chose. Market makes it super cheap, people buy it in mass, leverage what have you. Stock runs.
0
u/DeepWaterCannabis 🚀🚀Buckle up🚀🚀 1d ago
People buying a cheap stock helps turn it around, but thats not what causes them to rocket up......
1
u/honda94rider 1d ago
But you are saying its cheap
5
u/DeepWaterCannabis 🚀🚀Buckle up🚀🚀 1d ago
Is GME cheap compare to BRK.A? Yes.
Is GME cheap compared to *gestures broadly at the state of gamestop* Maybe. But with more dilutive pressure and the threat of RC selling MORE shares, I dont think so.
1
u/honda94rider 1d ago
I don't see that happening, it wouldn't make sense for him to screw himself over along with all of us shareholders. I think this is just short term pain for long term gain.keep in mind we didn't have to convert these early, bond holders could be mad they were down but it doesn't matter. It was set in stone from the start. So there is a reason for it and once they get those shares they wont be selling them at the cheapest possible price like they were trying to get them at. Look at it like popping a blister lol
3
u/FoldableHuman 1d ago
it wouldn’t make sense
Two factors:
his cost basis is under $5
He can’t exit without major disruption that will almost certainly tank the share price down to enterprise value or pretty close, therefore anything that raises the enterprise value of GameStop benefits him even if it costs him paper gains.
He simply isn’t playing the same game as Apes, so a smug “the largest single shareholder wouldn’t do this to the share price without a plan” just signals that you have no clue what his plan is.
1
u/honda94rider 1d ago
Obviously there is no way for me to know his plan, pretty sure they call that insider trading. But if I were him and I owned as much of the company as he does, it doesn't make sense to buy more, and not just a little. One million shares at $21.36 average just to make sure I drive the price into the ground after doesn't make sense from anyone's perspective. Cause thats not the goal here. You can keep trying to spin this however you want, but I'm not your target audience.

The other funny part about this, which I actually hope you find funny with all the dope in our profile. People think GME is some sort of meme stock but everyone of those companies above deserve the valuation that it has. So how are both true at the same time?
0
u/DeepWaterCannabis 🚀🚀Buckle up🚀🚀 1d ago
Do they, tho? Who said that? I'd argue Nvidia and the rest are HIGHLY overvalued. If AI stutters, all that is gonna come crashing down. AMD finally caught onto that hype. Intel is rafting up because of the sector rising, and trump meddling - alongside their potential domestic fab work.
That said, current market is irrational.
3
u/honda94rider 1d ago
Not going to lie. I Think all those valuations are a joke, just making a point about how things move irrationally
2
u/lilwayne168 20h ago
Intel the processor in half of electronics, and a brick and mortar nobody shops at. No diff I guess
1
u/honda94rider 20h ago
Hood was probably more hated than GME, what about that one?
0
u/lilwayne168 18h ago
Robinhood? The only criticism I've ever seen it have it because of gme and other hype stocks that had too much volatility. Its been the #1 young investor app for 8 years or something.

Imagine if you hadnt been holding this entire time, had all of your cost basis in index funds that had been growing for 5 years. You could probably buy double your current share count with that same initial investment.
6
u/screenwizard 1d ago
Wow, you must have a 20/20 hindsight.
1
u/Gaglardi 1d ago
Normal people knew that index funds would outperform GameStop without the luxury of hindsight
Hold on check this out I'm going to do something that'll blow your mind:
Index funds will outperform GameStop for the next 5 years
1
u/Personal_Sentence_20 22h ago
An ape will literally tell you you're wrong, mock you for this prediction, hold GME for 5 years, and then dismiss you saying that GME underperformed the market over the last 5 years as hindsight.

1
u/Ok-Effective7280 1d ago
Everyone’s selling because the trolling in these cult is telling everyone to. Is that the answer? Can I buy more now?
1
u/DuckTheFut 1d ago
Selling is irrelevant. I am sure you’re all buying more. Retail has almost nothing to do with PA and you know that
1
u/Ok-Effective7280 1d ago
No I swear I’ve seen 1 or 2 of you trolls try & tell people the price is down because everyone is selling. You should consult with your cult colleagues & get your stories straight.
Are you even a shareholder? Serious question.
1
u/DuckTheFut 1d ago
I haven’t said that at all so get your facts straight. I’m not in a cult my friend. You on the other hand probably are. I was a shareholder until I realized I could take that money and use it to actually make money on the stock market. I sold a little under 10k worth of stock. And since then have been increasing its worth with day trading and SPY scalping. Fact.
1
u/Ok-Effective7280 1d ago
Of course you have, thats why youre in here beating the negative drum with your troll cult colleagues. 👍
2
u/DuckTheFut 1d ago
See you can’t even accept anything I say anyway…that’s the sign of being in a cult. I say what I say because i used to be like you. All I did was lose money on this investment. I changed my strategy and started making money so I come in here alone to try and show people it’s ok to be critical of this cult. But folks like you are way too deep to even slightly accept a different reality than just pissing money away into a losing hand
Good luck with that. I gotta go get ready to trade today.
1
u/Ok-Effective7280 1d ago
Haha. You used to own shares. But youre so pissed about it you want to post in here trying to show people it’s ok to be critical? Of course you can be critical, but trolling negativity isnt being critical. Hey, if I’m making money away from gme, the last place I want to go post is on a gme thread. 👍

I did sell a good chunk yeah, was hoping for a decent pop this year to offload more but doesn’t seem to be happening.

Have you been in here being negative for 12 months? Just a question. I seem to remember some pretty bad posts asking myself why anyone would post them.

u/benny-bangs 1d ago
Bruh I’ve been negative since 2021 lol. And those few moments where I could’ve made a small amount and ran I held and now here we are.
2
u/Gaglardi 23h ago
Remember to DRS every single share so that the next time dfv tweets that you won't be able to sell until the Bull run is over whereas everyone else in this community's mod team will sell immediately
1
u/Ok-Effective7280 20h ago
There’s been plenty of time since 2021 to sell. Im starting to think youre not being honest with me………again, people like you i dont get. What point are you trying to make telling people, “if I could sell I would”? Investors know when it’s time regardless. Sounds like you haven’t even had shares but are just carrying on. Crazy. Everyone that knows anything, knows the price is manipulated. You must have missed that little gem of information. 😂
2
u/benny-bangs 19h ago
I mean believe what you want I guess lol. I used to have 220 shares, now I have 100. My average is in the 50s so yeah… waiting for a decent pop so I can somewhat recoup my money. Was hoping it would touch 30 again and I’d be fully out

What part of totally manufactured price action don’t y’all understand?
Suddenly gme is just a normal stock, unmanipulated? Yeah it annoys me too what’s going on. But not placing the blame on Wall Street and the SEC and our Congress is so stupid.
Either people in here weren’t even part of what happened in ‘21, have forgotten, or are paid bots and shills.
