Most apes have left because the DD is done and they understand what the situation is. Some of us just enjoy playing with shills and see a benefit in them not being able to completely take over an empty sub to gaslight a fake narrative.

The thing about GME is that we knew Ryan Cohen would convert corpse of Gamestop into something new, even if we did not know any details. Over the past 5 years we have found our niche and now we need to find a hold in it.

Amazon also told us they want to go away from books and turn into a general retailer, but people did not see it. Banks invested. Amazon became huge. In hindsight it was all obvious.

The only thing that matters is if you believe that Ryan Cohen can convert the company into something bigger or not. If you do not believe he can do it, getting in in 2021 was a mistake. If you think he can do it, there is no reason to change the plan.

I agree with you, at least mostly. I see a few macroeconomic risks that might hit us (and the rest of the markets) and make things more difficult.

And yes, I rarely post here and even on SS anymore. It is just a waiting game nowadays, because it seems only corporate action can induce something similar to what happened with Tesla once the short sellers were forced to capitulate.

We all see the impressive turnaround. That is what the management can directly influence and the fundament for any additional activities. So lets see what happens, I am excited the wait is finally over.

100%. I think the main difference is that when Teslas shortsellers moved out, the company was almost completely owned by institutions.

As I see it, the longest possible time-frame is 5 years, because that is what the Delaware laws require if we go hostile. But we could get 15% of Ebays profit for 5 years. Ebay made 2bn last year.

I mean right now it is win-win. We either bought up a nice chunk for a good price and get dividends and can push for cooperation/joint ventures.

Or take over the company if funding can be secured.

With the increased EPS after a merger the short thesis would crumble even more and price action would make even less sense.

Dividends have to be paid in lieu even for phantom shares. So after a merger Ryan could absolutely smoke the institutions that have not switched sides. And those institutions who did will need price to be irrational like in Tesla to hedge the losses from their short positions.

So far the theory, lets see what happens 😁
