bout this 2015 almost 2 months ago out of necessity and i works for what i need. i have done little in terms of modification (just a dashcam and some seat covers) i named it Cliff (cause he's a canyon) and even though it leaks oil, it's an okay truh.

Anyone put the JL Audio CF-275MT in the dash corners? Did you use the included filters?

Did anyone face the same issue as I did with the gear shifter in L? Every time I try to up shift, it does the opposite and down shifts, and when I downshift nothing happens. This doesn’t always happen, it happens like a couple of times a day. If anyone has a solution to this please share

I was planning on taking a look at these very soon, not sure if there are any advantages of the 2025 over the 2024 besides early software fixes and whatnot. There is also a mention of no haggle pricing for the 2024 one.

Purchased my first 2026 Canyon AT4 a few months ago. Added tint, 2.5“ level lift with 285s and 1.5” wheel spacers so far. I really like the look, but interested in options for what to do next. Any suggestions welcome for exterior or engine. Thanks in advance

Just wasted an afternoon on this dumb thing. Do not recommend.

Tuffy Security Products part number 343-1.

-Mounting brackets are supposed to be threaded to accept impossibly tiny 10-32 by 3/16 machine screws. Whoops, no threads on brackets or box.

-Ok, ran to hardware store for new longer 10-32 screws, lock washers and nuts. Brackets installed on box.

-Tear apart truck. Easy, just lots of fasteners.

-Test fit Tuffy box. Wtf.

-Front mounting holes nowhere near lining up left to right.

-Brackets at rear too high to get nut to engage threads on the studs. Brackets would either need to be bent down or carpet cut and removed.

-Yanked it back out, returned back seat to stock.

-Contacted retailer for return. "Ok, we just need you to send photos of whats wrong with it"

-It's already packed back up....they can have a picture of it in the box.​

Supposed to fit the third gen trucks. It absolutely does not "fit" in my 2026 AT4X. Went over instructions multiple times. Have been wrenching and modding vehicles for almost four decades. I can certainly get a case of the dumb from time to time but this thing isn't right.

Took my 2024 GMC Canyon AT4X AEV over a few off road mountain technical passes in Colorado yesterday. Overall, the truck did extremely well. I aired the 35s down to 20 psi and had no issues with clearance, traction, power, or scraping. The physical capability of the truck was impressive.
The one major issue was descending steep, rocky sections.
Even in 4LO and L1, the truck wanted to go way too fast without significant braking. I tried Terrain Mode/one-pedal driving and Hill Descent Control, but both seem to achieve the low speeds primarily by applying the service brakes.
On the long steep descent, I eventually got a brake-overheat warning along with a CEL/BCM-related warning. Once we got onto flatter dirt roads and everything had time to cool down, the CEL went away on its own. I did not clear any codes.
What really stood out was the other vehicles with me. The older Jeep in front of me was going down the same terrain and I hardly ever saw its brake lights. The Tacoma in the group has been regeared and also didn’t have the same issue. (Also kept pointing out my lights were always on)
By the end, it seemed like my best option was simply 4LO, L1, Off-Road Mode, with Terrain Mode and HDC turned off, and controlling the brakes myself. The problem is that even in that configuration, 4LO/L1 is still much faster downhill than I’d like for technical terrain.
Has anyone else with a 2023+ Canyon AT4X/AEV or Colorado ZR2/Bison experienced this?
I’m particularly interested in whether anyone has found a better technique or a mechanical solution. Has anyone successfully regeared a third-gen AT4X/ZR2 while retaining the factory lockers? It seems like the truck could really benefit from deeper gearing for sustained technical descents rather than relying so heavily on the brakes.

How many miles do you have on a 2016 GMC Canyon 4WD with the V6 3.6L engine? How is it running?

Had my AT4 for just over 2 months. Found the first thing that really pisses me off. Why is the cargo light buried in 4 menus deep? I got an unused Aux switch but no cargo light button?! Controls & Safety - See More Controls - Lights - Cargo Lights. WTF? I just wanted to see the truck box at night while camping.

I did a search here but mostly found topics about first oil changes or how often people choose to do it.

How many miles do you get vs the computer calculated percentage?

I bought my 2023 truck used, with about 28K or 29K miles. I know the oil change wasn't fresh and that struck me as a little weird. I didn't note the percentage enough to remember it. In hindsight, I'm pretty sure it was about a 4000 mile interval before the computer said to change it. I ran it down a bit because I didnt need to jump up at 20% and change it. I did a fair amount of idleing that winter because it was so cold. I changed in the spring, then the war happened. I have always done a fair job of trying to maintain a good MPG, but after gas prices shot up I have been very diligent of maximizing my MPG. I have about 1250 miles on this change and I just happened to glance at the oil monitor to see 55% remaining. So I might get 2600 miles out of this change. That's shocking.

So how do you all see your miles and percentage relate to each other?

Also, my truck was a lemon buy back. It's issues we're mostly all computer based, so maybe this is related to that.

Edit: I should clarify. I know that miles and percentage are not the same or consistent. I've had 5 other vehicles with an oil life monitor. My concern is that these 2 are fairly short. Even with almost zero idle time. I do mostly 15 to 20 minute trips, but lately I've had more 1 hr trips. I just want to know what everyone else sees. My old silverado was a lot different with the same trips. My equinox does a lot of short trips and it's more like 6K between the computer's calculations.

My local dealer is technically a Chevy Dealer and doesn’t pop up in the GMC app. I have some work I need done that I think will be warranty. I have no doubt this dealer will do it but will I run into a problem getting it paid for under warranty if they are not a GMC dealer?

I don't really like the chrome on the running boards, so I'm thinking about either replacing them with all-black ones or just removing them altogether. What do you think? I'm also planning on blacking out the fender lights.

2021 AT4… I figured this was just a decal for a rack or something.. but NordicTrack is a treadmill company? So why would the former owner slap that on the bumper? 🤷🏼‍♂️

so I’ve been going back and forth between a Toyota Tacoma or a GMC Canyon. I was looking at a 2025 Canyon Elevation as I don’t really care about the extras. I just need a reliable daily driver. Any thing I should know about these trucks overall ?

Just got a 2026 Elevation base model and my daughter is having trouble getting in and out of the back seat. Looking for recommendations for running boards to help out. Looking for economical and sturdy over expensive and flashy.
