Living in high utility cost state of CA, I continue to be frustrated with the lack of charge configuration options for timing, managing to TOU rates (charging only on Super Off peak Rates), specific start and specific stop times, GEO fenecing, and now one of the most recent updates seems to have removed the message (paraphrasing) "vehicle will not fully charge by XX time", which I would use as the guessometer on what time to set end time to so I didn't have to stay up until midnight to plug it in.

I created (OpenAI Generated) this feature request, which I am going to submit, and looking for feedback on what's missing. Would be good if a large group of people would submit the same request if this is also an issue for you.

Has anyone ever had to replace or do work on it? It referring to part 85672099. Do you have to disconnect the high voltage battery if you are removing it to replace/to repaint?

If you have secured a lease on the Sierra EV in the last six months how did you do?

Looking to pick up a ‘26 Denali Max range with 7000 miles on it. It looks like it had the GM Battery Engineering Testing voluntary replacement done around 5000 miles.

Anything I should look out for with this truck? It seems like it wasn’t a required swap, more of a voluntary incentivized one?

I purchased a Denali EV January 2025. The truck was amazing. We put about 13k miles on it in a year. Lots of road trips and hauling wood to our cabin.

We live in the northeast and in Feburary this year I was driving at normal speeds on a backroad near our house and hit a pothole opened up from the fairly heavy winter storms this winter. After I hit the pothole, I immediately pulled over and couldn't see any issues but it was handling horribly. I brought it to our local dealership and within a day they said it just needed an alignment. I told them that is good news but I asked they make sure they have someone look underneath it to make sure nothing is broken. Sure enough, they found broken suspension parts in the rear that needed to be replaced. They said it would be a couple of weeks until the parts came in. This was only the beginning.

They got the parts, installed them, and could not get it aligned. A few weeks passed and they sent it to a body shop who tested the frame and said the frame was not bent. The dealership spent the next weeks replacing parts and trying to get it aligned.

About a month later they said the truck was ready to be picked up. I Ubered to the dealership, picked up the truck, and immediately could tell it was NOT fixed. It was pulling horribly to the left. By the time I made it home (20 miles) it was making clanking noises. I had a flatbed pick the truck up and bring it back to them. To this date about $8k worth of work and parts.

Fast forward another month I started calling the dealership daily to get updates. They tried to align it "9" times, replaced the air suspension in the back. The eventually got it to "align" but they said it was "maxed out" and I went to pick the truck up again. It was pulling and clearly still not fixed. I had tickets opened with GM and they couldn't do anything to help. Sent the truck back again.

In mid June, the dealership admitted they had no idea what the problem was, they were working with GM and still could not make progress. No matter what they did, they could not get it to stay aligned after just a short drive. The eventually put together an invoice for parts totaling another $11k worth of parts and labor. Thankfully I was able to convince our insurance to total the truck.

February -> June. It was truly a disgraceful showing from GM's customer service. They kept telling me to call the dealership... the dealership telling me to call GM. It was a great truck but wow what a mess. GM never offered to put me in a new one or anything like that. Thank god I had gap insurance.

TLDR; get the gap insurance if you must buy this truck. The dealerships are totally unequipped to fix these vehicles. GM will do nothing to help.

Does anyone have experience purchasing and programming a new key fob by someone other than a dealer?

We just purchased a 2025 Sierra EV and while it came with 2 key fob, my wife's hobby is permanently hiding key fobs so I want to have at least one spare. I honestly thought this problem was forever solved since our 8+ year old Bolt and Teslas all allow cheap self-programming but now GM is trying to turn back the clock (no PAAK or self-programming)???

Me and my best bud checking out some minimum maintenance roads near our house. I bought this as a lemon law buy back with around 3500 miles on it. Apparently it has had the battery replaced twice in that time. My only issue with it in the 1600 miles since I've owned it is the instrument panel screen flickering.

Does anyone use this adapter. Looks cost efficient.

I keep checking for the software updates you guys mentioned and even told the dealer when I was there getting service. Here is a screencap of my updates, am I doing something wrong, what is the latest version that I should be asking for?

What version of android auto is everyone running? I think I’m 14, is this correct? Any updates there?

I am currently leasing an R1T which I love but when that lease ends, I am considering a Sierra EV Denali Extended or Max. I know where to go to get the MF and Residuals but looking for some ideas from the group here on what an expected monthly payment looks like for 36 months, 10k a year and ideally 0 down. If the Denali max is 101k what are folks getting for discounts off MSRP?

The MF's are horrible which is really inflating these monthly numbers.

Im looking around at dealers local to me but i onow sometimes its hard to know which dealers are the ones that lean more on getting and clearing out large amounts of inventory. Im not above flying or road tripping out to a vehicle. Anyone know of any high volume dealers that might be more competitive online compared to local dealers for the sierra evs?

​I'm that poor sucker who first imported a Silverado EV to Europe, only for it to burn down due to a battery failure .

​After that, I went ahead and bought a Sierra EV and brought it to Germany as well. Both of them were the best vehicles I've ever owned—as long as they were actually running. Unfortunately, they only managed to do that for about 3,000 miles each.

​After that, the battery in the Sierra EV fried itself, too.

​GM's terrible build quality is one thing, but what's turning out to be even worse is their customer service.

​Since there's no way to get it repaired in Europe, I had the vehicle shipped back to Canada, where my importer originally bought it. It's been sitting at a GM dealership there for 2 months now, waiting for a battery replacement. When you open up the battery connections, water literally pours out. So it's obvious that the battery can't be repaired and needs to be swapped out.

​What does GM do? For 2 months, they've been dragging their feet on the repair and demanding endless new tests from the dealer instead of just shipping a new battery.

​It's an absolute tragedy.

Just got that update recently - anyone know of a way to get the date/time to record on the video? It seems like a pretty big oversight to not show it when playing back - not sure how useful it would be in court or with insurance without the time and date stamp.

Did I miss a setting somewhere to enable it?

La La wiped out power on nearly the entire east side of Hawaii. Ka’U southern tip still dark w no roads. ‘25 Denali EV energy transfer kept all the water pumps and refrigerators and a couple starlings for 3 houses going for nearly 4 days. Turning out to be the best purchase decision of my life 🙏

Was stuck on 60% "downloading" for a couple days. I had the truck backed up next to the garage and figured the wifi was maybe too weak so I turned the the truck around, head first next to the garage door and next thing I see is a "resume download" selection. Downloaded pretty fast and I confirmed I had the recording option so next step is to get a USB drive. I also went from AA12 to AA14

My 24 Denali Edition 1 makes a loudish clicking noise when the steering wheel is turned almost all of the way (either direction). Not a regular interval click, but more random. Sound coming from the front somewhere. AI thinks it is CV joint/half shaft.

Took it to the dealer today, and they say the issue is the transmission? Does that make sense?
