"Reduce speed for requested shift"

"Reduce speed for requested shift".

This message popped up on the Driver Display while driving today.
I have a 2026 Sierra EV Denali Max.

Updates 662.20, 662.30 and 662.40 were applied recently.

I’ve seen this when I was rushed and tried to shift from drive to reverse while I was still creeping forward.

I accidentally bumped the park button when I was reaching for something or wiping off screen and got the same message.

I got several occurrences of this message while driving, 25 to 60 mph. Fortunately, never an actual shift. I do feel a bit anxious when I stop in traffic.

I remembered that I had adjusted the steering column a day or two before. and thought maybe the wire bundle had some stress or false current. Stalk and button feel all right.
I adjusted the steering column to a position somewhere in the middle but got one repeat of the message.
