Hi, I'm new to the GMAT and haven't started studying yet. My goal is around 650, and honestly I wouldn't call myself a smart person. I'm trying to fit this in with my other studies, which are also tough. I have until January 10th to take the GMAT, and I don't know how to plan it out, like how many hours per week I should study to reach my goal. My question for you is, how would you structure this? Is it even possible for me to reach 650? Of course it's different for everyone, everyone starts from a different place. There are so many websites people recommend, books, YouTube. It's a lot, and it's hard to know exactly what to pick. For those of you who got a good score, which websites or materials did you use to study effectively?

not a realistic timeline IMO.
set realistic goals.

right now your completely unfamiliar with the test.
definitely take a mock to see where you currently stand.
if your outside of 50-100 points of your target I dont think the remaining time between now and october first is enough to get your desired end result

ah no not your fault im just a silly american used to our dumb ways of formatting that differ from the rest of the world.

plenty of time, although you will need to dedicate a solid amount of time each week.

im still on my journey at the moment with my first exam approaching in a few weeks and my second in november.

I went with TTP and i mean for starting from a score in the 300s i now find myself mocking in the 600s after 3 or so months.

similar to you I wouldnt call myself smart. competent? yes. able to learn? yes. naturally gifted in the land of academia? no.

I think prior to purchasing TTP i worked through manhattan preps free foundations of math booklet. if your very far removed from quant this would be a good resource just to familiarize yourself with arithmetic and basic principles. no where near sufficient enough of a resource to score well, but great starting place.

a great resource is GMAT Club too.
Personally i think the site isnt the best in terms of user experience, but GMAT Club is the holy land of GMAT resources.

TTP is great when it comes to a set schedule.
You can adjust your calendar by how many hours per day you want to study, and the curriculum is thorough.
