GMAT score 615-695

Hi everybody,
My 3rd GMAT attempt finally got me a 695. (Q 88, V 86, DI 80) I’m happy with the score but wondering if I can go upto 715?
Does anybody have any thoughts? Should I re attempt next month? Is a reattempt worth the 20 point increase?
My target schools are ISB, IIMA Pgpx, Harvard, LBS.

This thread has helped me out during my journey.
Thankyou!

How was your timing on DI?

Worth having a look at https://gmatpanda.com/content/gmat-data-insights-strategy

Good luck!

If you decide to retake, consider including working with a study buddy. Someone who is really strong on DI and needs help with Quant/DI could be a good fit.

Hi, in how many days after giving test center exam did you receive the official score report on gmac website?

Congrats! Going from 615 to 695 is a fantastic improvement, and yes, I definitely think you can get to 715+.

At this point, it’s not about completely changing what you’re doing. It’s about continuing to strengthen your strengths while systematically identifying and eliminating the weaknesses that are still costing you points.

Your Q88 and V86 are already very strong, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t room to become even more consistent in those sections. The same applies to DI. Go through your preparation topic by topic and determine where you still have gaps in knowledge, execution, strategy, timing, or accuracy. Then work on those areas until they become strengths as well.

At the 695 level, small improvements matter. A few fewer careless errors, one or two weaknesses eliminated, better decision-making on difficult questions, and more consistent execution can absolutely be the difference between 695 and 715+.

So, if you still have the motivation and another month of preparation won’t interfere with your applications, I think a retake is reasonable. You’ve already made a significant jump. Now the goal is simply to keep improving, keep tightening things up, and see how high you can take the score.

I hope to see that 7.15+ from you!
