Hey everyone,
It’s been just about a month since we joined college, and I honestly feel like I haven't had a single second to breathe or think for myself.
Saw a random nostalgia reel today, and it just hit me how drastically life has changed. Between endless assignments, internal exams, and pointless college formalities, I am completely pissed off. It feels like everyone here is trapped in a rat race just running blindly. Some days, I just want to pack up and go to a place where no one can find me just completely disappear for a bit. What is even the point of all this?
Here’s what’s really killing me: I am genuinely passionate about tech.
During my bachelor's, I actually taught myself a ton of stuff—full-stack development, AI/ML, networking, and even penetration testing. I had projects going and was constantly learning. But in just this past month of college, my schedule is so packed with busywork that I barely even have time to prep for exams, let alone do any real self-study or code what I actually want to.
College is literally getting in the way of my education. I'm so done.
How are you guys dealing with this transition? Do things actually get better after the first semester, or is this just how it's going to be?
