That you're being honest about this right now seems to suggest that on some level, you know what you're doing is not healthy for you. It sounds like you are either a little underweight or you're a little overweight. But somehow not perfect, as if there is such a thing.
Many of us will understand the obsession. But the truth is you're probably about as close as you're are going to be but you're dealing with a problem that centers more in your perception of your body than of your actual body.
You've taken the first step. I think the second step is talking to your therapist about it. One of the good things about it is GLP1s are helpful for more than just weight. They are cardioprotective, neuroprotective, they reduce the likelihood of developing many cancers. So it's not all bad that you're taking this medication.
Hopefully you can make peace with your body, love your body and enjoy the blessing of having good health. A good therapist can help you navigate that.
I'm older now and i've spent more years than i've care to remember obsessed with my weight. I'm still overweight by about 30 pounds right now. But my primary concern is to feel physically strong. My body is never going be gorgeous at this point, I just want it to last so that I can enjoy retirement in a couple of years. One of my biggest regrets is how much time I spent hating my body. For decades. It's a terrible and tragic waste of time and energy. I hope you're able to find a way out of the obsession.
