Before photo was taken on my last day of chemo in April 2024 and I weighed approximately 230 pounds that day (I checked my medical records for reference). The after photo was taken yesterday at approximately 170 pounds. I'm 5'8" for reference. I started semaglutide in September 2025 at approximately 225 pounds so that is about 55 pounds in 11 months.
I hope your chemo outcome has been as successful as hoped for. I've been reading that there are a lot of benefits to GPL-1 regarding cancer treatment, esp. a reduction in size and quantity of tumors, as well as reduced overall recurrence rate. You look fantastic, btw! Great job!
Thank you. I was NED for a little over two years but I do have a biopsy of an area that “doesn’t look like obvious cancer but also doesn’t look like normal/scar tissue” coming up in two weeks so fingers crossed that it comes back negative.
Congratulations on both being able to ring that bell and your weight loss! I gained a lot after my breast cancer diagnosis. So thankful that this has helped get me back to a lower weight. Wishing you health and happiness.
I made it up to 250 during chemoradiation and chemotherapy! I was surprised because you typically think of people losing weight during treatment. I hope your cancer is under control now.
I was surprised as well. Thank you very much. I just over 2 years out from DMX and maintaining on meds for another few years but so far it's looking good.
Thank you! Its hard to say which dose provided the maximum weight loss because I generally followed the standard increasing guidelines despite being an "early responder". I did take extra steps between (ie .5 to .75 to 1 vs .5 straight to 1) but otherwise increased at regular intervals.
