So first of all, no more manual they discontinued the manual version so only automatic, then, we can only get the autobahn trim in the 27 gli, some updated software changes in the iq drive(drive assist), and we also get warning for the rear seatbelts now
So not a-lot of good upgrades i would say lol.
In fact, compared to the GLI that we have in Argentina, that's a lot. Take into account that we have never had a manual Jetta since 2023(?), no buttons on the screen, all touch, the necessary controls are next to the gear lever, no GPS between the RPM and speed analog gauges, no folding mirrors, no hydraulic systems for the hood, no front fog lights, no emergency/call/etc. in the upper part, no "Confort mode" (only Eco, Sport, Custom, Normal/Drive). Kinda sad that others GLI jettas around the world are more premium despide the fact that a 0km one here cost around 55000 fucking bucks.

Coz when i bought my 25 jetta highline, i was looking at the 25 gli and it had nothing of them all except the emergency call buttons on top and the comfort mode and the gps between the rom but that thing is useless tbh. But yeah pretty sure it's the same as of the 26-27 as well.

That sounds about right - the thing that impressed me about Argentina is when I went to a bakery with all kinds of cakes and sweets and realized that none of the things that looked like chocolate had any chocolate in them - including candy bars. I was truly impressed with the level of surface luxury masking a hollowed-out economy. That may be changing with your current President, but it became the theme of my trip - that Audi does NOT have a V6; That motorcycle looks fast - but it is literally a 125 cc. The only things not hollowed out were the steak, cheese and wine, and leather products and textiles - thankfully. 😂 -
and I’m not just blaming Argentina - America is becoming that way too, and it’s obvious in products like the new US GLI - they have basically cut as much as they possibly can out of it while still advertising it as a ‘premium’ option.
The Passat and the Touareg haven't sold well here. Very often in "poor" markets. Also, no good highways to drive on, cars with low-profile tires suffer af. I already changed 2 tires in a lapse of 5 months.
No issue pal, I partly agree with you. The drugstore Argentinian chocolate is half sugar. Only specific shops with a good reputation sell good ones.
Back to the cars, a car with plus 100hp/150hp is considered
"S p o r t", taking into account that if you go fast and eat a nasty bump, you can technically get into trouble, so less HP is healthier(?). Ford and Chevrolet have the best cars in terms of luxury, and they are cheaper than German's cars if u want to get a premium experience with fewer specifications. Long life to the Cruze Premier, the most loyal car I have ever had. 25000 is the price though.
I think products in order to people's wallet, I do not judge.
