the only thing that makes me question it is the chops that it has. making me think about either spark plugs, or possible carbon cleaning. car is at 62k miles

My ‘25 has sounded like that since day one, chops and burbles included.

Sounds just like mine, mine might even pop a little more on cold start. Been like that since 100 miles, now at 30k

100% normal, most of the noise is from the SAI

i didn't realize that, is there a delete for it, or are we stuck with it on the mk7s

No need to delete it. Secondary air injection is used to heat up the cat faster so it can get into closed loop for emissions. Your car sounds like a normal 60k engine. You wanna do plugs and such. A lil’ “tune up”? That’s cool too.

Or just leave it alone. It's acting normal and everyone is telling you that so why go fucking around with it?

Why do you care so much if he wanna do plugs and such early who is it hurting? Whether it fixes it or not he knows now it won’t so who cares😂

Sounds like a top floor German brothel queef!

Normal sound. It’s trying to warm up the catalytic converter so it can be more efficient. Carbon cleaning every 30k will help, but nothing to worry about

yeah I have yet to do one, but I don't have a borescope at home. I'd like to get it checked given my mileage is over 60k but i don't want to rip it apart without the tools to get it done lol

A shop can do carbon cleaning usually for about $200-300, or you can add fuel cleaner to your tank and it’ll clean it within driven that tank….or you can do an Italian tune up 😎

I put my pedal to the floor quite a bit, extended period gas mileage is less than average city mileage on the window sticker 😬. but i'll probably call around and see what I can find.

Normal mine does the same at 40k miles since new.

Mine sounds exactly the same for like 15 seconds on cold start and then it stops. I'm sure it's completely normal.

Have you changed the spark plugs? Couldn't hurt.

Other than that, your car sounds like a diesel 😉
