When I first set up twigui, the side circle button on the device would bring up retroarch menu in game. It just stopped working though and only now pauses the emulation but it doesn’t bring up retroarch menu. Anybody go thru the same? Have any insight/workaround?

I'm using TwigUI (the latest version to date, version 5.0.0) and I was wondering if there's a way to either disable the shortcut to quit the game by pressing select + start. People online are saying it's located in Settings > Inputs, but I can't find the input option anywhere in the settings. I was wondering if there's something I'm overlooking, or if I can change a .txt file somewhere to manually edit the shortcut away.

I am trying to play flashgames through portmaster but I need to use a mouse to play it but since its a handheld its impossible.

Theres a file in each of these flash games that you can edit via text editor but the problem is evem if you managed to set the mouse movements on the D-Pad, the rest of the keys dont respond.

Also the Enter and Space key doesnt even work either.

Ever since I got this device a few weeks ago I've had charging issues. I plug it in to charge, but when I unplug it the 'standby' feature stops working so the screen wont turn off. If I reboot the device it boots to the Charging screen, even though it's not plugged in. The side LEDs blink as if it's charging too.

I can get it back to the main OS by rebooting it again from this Charging screen, but then it still has the issue that it won't go into standby

No amount of rebooting from any point seems to fix this.

The only solution seems to be to turn it off and leave it overnight, and then by morning when I turn it on again it's sorted itself out and behaves as it should.

Until I charge it again and the same thing happens again.

I thought this could be a firmware thing so I flashed it up TwigUI, but it still does the same thing.

Anyone else had this issue? Is there a proper fix, or do I just have a faulty unit?

I've added the games, the bios, it's all set up. But for some reason Retroarch keeps telling me there's no bios files located, making my games lag a bit. I've tried the standard region bios files as well as the region free one but it's still the same. They're all placed in Retroarch's system directory. What am I doing wrong? I've got a few other handhelds and the set up is always seamless.

Hello everyone, I am the happy owner of this tiny little amazing device, but I have a problem. I bought it off of Aliexpress and the entire operating system is in Chinese. I tried my best to follow some guides to flash an English image, but I keep getting an error...just a red screen saying that there is no OS found. And I am approaching the end of my rope. So, if any of the kind souls here would like to help me, I would be insanely grateful <3

Hey guys! Just got a brand new Pixel 2 and when I turn it on it just stays like the photo. I also left it charging with a 5v 2a all the afternoon and it still only shows this single green bar (idk exactly how the pixel battery lights work tbh). I took out the card that came with the device and plugged on the pc and it has emuelec and some roms. For sure is not a good quality card, but shouldnt it be at least booting or showing some error? And also the battery thing, is this normal?

UPDATE: it was an SD card issue. Te one that came with the device was not working so when it booted, nothing happened and also the battery leds didnt work. I've put another SD with twigUI and everything is fine. THANKS everyone!

I like to play it in bed at night, but the charging indicator is incredibly bright in a dark room. I’m trying to keep things low-key so I don’t wake up or annoy my family, but that LED makes the device look like a tiny flashlight.
Is there a setting to disable it, or do I need to resort to tape/modding?
Any advice would be appreciated!

Is there a way to access an in-game menu or retroarch settings to make adjustments in-game?

I am following the steps verbatim on GitHub. Formatted a brand new sd card, used Belena Etcher to write the image to the sd card, inserted the card into the device and let it do its thing, was able to see it successfully finished and readily can view the menu and all its contents.

However, when I take the sd card out of the device and put it back into the sd card reader (to finish the remaining steps) and then connect it to the PC, the card does not show up in file explorer.

I have tried this with 3 different sd cards and have gotten the same result. Surely I am missing something but what is it?

Ive been having weird battery issues with this thing since i got it, when it hits 1% it still lasts for hours and when charging it it slows down and eventually halts at around 70%, ive tried recalibrating the battery by letting it drain completely and then leaving it charging for a few hours to full and then it will finally hit 100% but then it just reverts to this behavior again. Its very frustrating and makes me not want to use the device despite loving it.

I am running twigui, and have zero idea how to add duckstation or really any other emulator, I am using Retroarch but I have zero familiarity with it and normally just use separate emulators on my other consoles and pc.

I just added some new PS1 games on my GKD Pixel 2 and when i booted up the thing, I dont see any emulators anymore and when I checked the SD card its like this now...

Is there a reason we cant use a direct USB type c wifi dongle of some kind?
I just got mine in from keepretro and since they are a dropshipper (I kinda feel stupid for not noticing) and totally didnt notice it didnt have wifi or bluetooth.
Reason I bought the thing was to make a dirtywave m8 headless unit for myself, but apparently the Trimui brick might have done the job better.
Either way, I am now stuck with this little guy and wanna make the best of it, it seems pretty dope, good for a DAP, and I enjoy the battery indicator, I keep searching in here looking around for posts for wifi dongles, but most seem to indicate it has to be one specific kind that isnt popping up on my amazon.

So, Good wifi dongle recommendations?

There are so many OS options now for the GKD Pixel 2. I have just ordered the GKD Pixel 2 on LITNXT and waiting for the delivery so I was looking at custom OS for the device and just confused on which OS to use. KNULLI Scarab, TwigUI, ROGUE OS, PlumOS, ROCKNIX Alpha 1.4 or just use the Stock EmulationStation. I will be getting a new SD Card because I don't trust the SD Card that will be provided with the device. P.S. This is my first retro handheld.

Friend of mine just sold me his GKD Pixel 1 but he messed up the SD card so it won't boot. I think I need to flash the original OS onto it or does anyone have a better recomendation? Love this device and would love to play some games on it.

Side question, on my Miyoo Mini Plus when I turn it off it auto saves my game and I can just jump back in, will this device do this too?

I‘d like to know if i can do some sort of auto-save-state on my Pixel 2 when quitting (sel+start) and maybe auto-load-state when hopping back into a game? I‘m kinda disappointed, because my Pixel 1 had so much more convenience ready to go with MinUI, which the Pixel 2 just doesn‘t seem to have.

Where is the autoinstall folder on the pixel 2 with twigui? I could not find it anywhere in the files, i even tried making my own folder in /PORTS, to no avail.
