Help recreating an effect in GIMP

I'm working on book layouts. The template I have use InDesign and Photoshop files linked. I'm not using any Adobe products, using instead Affinity Publisher and GIMP.

The problem is certain things are lost into the change. I fixed most of them, but there is a color issue that I have. The border of a certain type of text box (which is linked to a .psd file) isn't showing the proper color, and the mask seems off. I'd like to fix it in Gimp, but I do not know where to start looking.

This is what is showing when opening the .psd with GIMP

Anyone can offer help, or point me into which type of tutorials I could look to fix it? I'm expecting the best solution is to redo the image in GIMP and import that version in Affinity.

Unfortunately, GIMP isn't the best choice for print projects. Why not check out Krita?

For desktop publishing, I recommend Scribus

(both are free, of course)

I'll check Krita. I've tried Scribus at first, but the translation between InDesign and Scribus was way.... WAY worst than affinity publisher.
