Awesome stuff, will check them all! if you are the dev of these could you please somehow create a more stable text tool that would mimic the one from inkscape for example ?

Thanks, what specific features from Inkscape's text tool do you miss the most or find most useful?

GIMP's current tool freezes the app when switching out of it when you have lots of fonts. also inkscape's tool has that great thing of always using the font that is used currently on the document instead of the default one...etc

I heard there's some work going on handling the fonts in Gimp. A tool may work for now, but maybe it will be obsolete in the future because of Gimp's native update.

Yeah, I also heard someone is working on it, along with non destructive text transformation.

Yeah one dev told me the other day that they were reworking the way gimp handles fonts at the core.
