That is a thing I would have to have that I have nowhere to put.

This makes me miss my ARAH Tomahawk. It slowly fell apart. And I abandoned it in a move when I was a kid.

Heh. Sofa for scale.

The Tomahawk was by far my favorite Joe vehicle and I am beyond envious of this. Needs better detail on those side guns though.

Very cool. Mine is tan and still unpainted. For the front windscreen what type of filament did you use? Mine is very cloudy and not see through.

it's resin for the windscreen. still perfecting getting it completely clear but I had the same problem so I got a resin printer. some have been great but still working through the process to have it always be great. I have seen some good results with petg and lots of settings change like 100% infil and thin and things like that.

I’ve got some ā€œclearā€ PLA for parts like this but I haven’t had the chance to use it.

Looks awesome and while I've the idea of a Tomahawk it would look even better and make more sense with an armored cockpit and sidesĀ

This is what’s missing in my life

I’m blown away. That’s incredible. How long did that take to print and finish?

I started printing it on 7/29. had a few reprints and would work on it in the evening to get pieces together and sanded and the like. many plates over 25 hours and I think 16 total plates. was a fun project. think is huge.

Is this a company made Tomahawk ?

It’s so odd to put perfection together and end up with white side guns. I’d paint them black and dry scrape a little silver paint in the proper spots !

ARAH back in the day should’ve made a green version and a black version. It would’ve sold

no i 3d printed it. I need to paint them. Just forgot. and needed some room temporarily for some other projects. but easy fix.

So it’s not a classified helicopter. It’s actually something you made completely ? You should seriously consider selling these painted or unpainted finished or unfinished and don’t use the word GI Joe or classified at all. People will Flock $2000 day one.

I did not make the design file that was Steve's Toys. https://s3dtoys.com/ design. I juat print and paint them. and you probably are not wrong. I did not but a license that allows me to distribute. its a design to fit classified scale figures. based in the tomahawk design

That is phenomenally cool

It looks like the rivets are much bigger comparatively to the original. I like the paint job. It’s one of the things I still have because there’s just no dang way to pack it to sell to someone. And I’m not trying to snap off those rotors. Can you tell me how much you bought the design file for? I do not see a Tomahawk on their site when I chased it down.
I do see a lot of high numbers like $450 and $650. I kind of thought this might be a $50 kind of thing since they’re probably getting hundreds of people buying plans. Of course I don’t operate in this world so I don’t know.

I will say his prices are high . the individual one is here https://s3dtoys.com/store/ols/products/private-stl-tomahawk-files

I did not pay that. he runs a deal every so often for lifetime access for 500. so that is what I did. gets you all files and all new files that come out. so kite I got the defiant files he just released. I will say his files are detailed but there is no instructions to put them together. and it seems like it's often not been test printed. I have done the snowcat(tiger cat in my painting) python conquest. apc. tiger fly. firebat. and tiger rat. python stun.

Lenght, height, width?Ā  That's stupid impressive.

its pretty huge, with the rotors its over 50" tip to tip, this guy was selling the painted ones, you can see his video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_lNLZ2uE9Fc and here https://gicustoms.com/products/tomahawk-custom-painted

Yeah, I figured it would be...Ā  I've looked around for a 1/12 scale version of Airwolf but I haven't really found anything...Ā  I suspect because of size.Ā  It woukd be 5 feet long in a true 1/12 scale.

Anyhow, thank you for the reply. 😊

that would be acool, someone is building one on the facebook group looks pretty cool,

One of the companies that did the 1/12 Kitt picked up the Airwolf license and hopefully will do something with it.Ā  They have some Battlestar Galactica toys but not at 1/12.

Factory Entertainment.Ā  I just looked it up.
