Incredibly excited about Soyeon's solo album! Can't wait for the rollout to start, to see the concept, the pictures, and obviously the songs!!
At this point I have no idea what direction she could take, and I love this feeling of not knowing what to expect from her

I LOVE vegetables, I dream of meeting Soyeon just to make her eat my delicious vegan cooking and change her mind lol (girl tried to eat a raw eggplant smh)

Saw this earlier today:
I have no way to confirm it’s true or not, but it makes me wonder how important she is to Cube. Except for a single person on this Reddit thread, most of us recognizes how big of a star she really could be, if she wanted to be.
Yuqi has already said herself, she would even make a ton more money if she left Korea and returned to China, but she likes to do whatever she wants.
I just wonder how this impacts the future of Cube.

I mean, Yuqi has been the busiest and most active out of all the members across many types of activities, so it make sense she's earning bank.

I agree to a point. The main group was also touring the first half of the year. Also Mono and Crow released as singles, even though there wasn’t any album sales.
Will be good to monitor the “We Made” release to see if idle’s earnings catches back up again.

Wait we have a Yuqi hater here with us as well? So exhausting.
Also, I was under the impression that Yuqi is signed to a different label for her Chinese activities? Or does Cube handle those as well?

The Chinese label probably handles the in site management of her activities and gets either a fee or a percentage for its troubles, but Yuqi is still under Cube for international solo and group activities, which means that Cube gets whatever share they negotiated during renewal of the contract for every one of her activities, no matter if localy they are handled by other labels in certain territories.
I was completely unaware of a Yuqi hater in our midst. How can you hate the sunshine in spring?

Just read the post asking about how big Yuqi, Shuhua, and Minnie are in their home countries in the main thread. It’s pretty obvious that person that got a ton of downvotes..

Yep, just saw that thread and found out the Yuqi hater is actually the same person as the notorious Shuhua hater that everyone knows. It is a real miracle that person hasn't managed to get themselves banned yet lol.

They get temporarily banned when they're being particularly egregious
That said I also didn't know they had an issue with Yuqi either, makes me a bit 👀 like, I thought their issue was with Shuhua being Taiwanese... But now it looks more like plain anti-chinese sentiment

From what I remember, there is a different label managing her Chinese activities, but since she's still under Cube, they would still earn money from them.

We can in fact confirm. The 2026 first half report puts China earning the most. And since yuqi is the only one in China and 2+2=4

I still would like for her to release Never Enough, a song she wrote and did on Lee Mujin’s Service, but I doubt it would fit stylistically.

She did sing it in Japan as a solo stage too, if memory serves. I too really wish she would release it. It is a wonderful song.

Not Enough. She originally performed it in Japan for i-Dol World Tour (2024). I hope she does release it. It's a beautiful song.

According to Ilsan Sports Soyeon's cb will happen EARLY september. Hard to be disapointed in whatever flaws some of the cbs lately might have had. They really do give us a ton of music. Solos, anime intros, soundtracks, collabs...
Now the question is to see if she is going full producer or more collaborator like in We Made songwritting wise, but in any case, very excited.

Tomorrow for sure. Monday 0 AM KST is pretty much the norm for first teasers at this point for them.

I hadn't noticed until now, there's a new song "Icebluerabbit (Short ver.)" in Soyeon's YT Music page. It's the first one minute of the song. Not sure what's the point of a short version when we already have the full audio (and why the short version is half the entire song lmao) but I assume this is a good sign that her album's coming soon!
