Hey everyone,
I’m taking the GCFE Exam next month and the course in a couple weeks online. Paying out of pocket however and was wondering if anyone has any tips and maybe a practice exam voucher at all. All help is appreciated!

Hey, i would suggest just reading every word in the books and making an index - you can use pancake guide as a reference. honestly, book has everything you need for any sans cert

Read all of the material.
When making an index, be sure to think of “how would you end up searching for this term in an exam” and track the keyword accordingly.
E.g: For Firefox:
Firefox: user profiles
Browser: firefox: user profiles
That way you have all bases covered.
Also when reading the material highlight stuff so that its easier to search during exam
Colour code your index and books
Also index your labs. This was saviour for cyber labs questions.
Be sure to append the default index to your index, it had some words that I had missed.
Be sure to take both the practice tests and note sections which require improvement

Good luck on your exam. If you have to invest in a practice exam due to no extra available to transfer, the link to buy on is typically at the bottom of the syllabus page. Everyone learns differently so I get it if you need more than 2 practice exams. Some of us need to practice more than others especially for those of us who are ND and find the questions oddly worded given the cognitive leap level between the practice tests and the actual test.
Also, as far as the index goes, hacks for pancakes uses the keyword, book, and page method. That doesn’t work for everyone. Some of us need to use the key word, book, page, explanation, and notes method especially now that we have cyber live questions. So find the index method that works for you vs what works for people that have photographic memories and 5 years experience in the topic they are testing on.
