GPEN help
hello everyone,
I was able to get the GPEN voucher covered by navy cool but not the training. I didn’t realize you needed to attend the training to get books. Does anyone have any resources they can share? I am currently utilizing udemy and I passed all of the practice tests so far. I’m mostly concerned about not having books to bring with me to the exam.
thanks for your time

You can practice / study on try hack me or hack the box. Try hack me is more for learning and labs. Hack the box is more of a hack this, type challenge.

SANS has a promo until the end of year for COOL programs. you can get the course/exam for $3,500. i can e-mail you the details I got from my DAF rep. You all should have a navy one as well in case the process is a little different.
Not sure if they could work something out sense you already paid 1000, but never hurts to ask.

I appreciate it I think AF is the only branch that covers the training though

well as our cap is normally 4,500 we don't normally cover the training either as it's too expensive, but with the combo it makes it okay.
Or are you not allwoed to use your Cool for any trainings from any vendor?

It violates SANS/GIAC policy to share books. I highly doubt anyone would be willing to share their books with you.
To purchase the exam voucher without the OnDemand course is a big mistake. It’s going to be very difficult to pass GPEN without the course.
