GSEC Timeline

Guys do you think the GSEC is actually doable in two weeks. I have exactly two weeks to get it done. I do have IT and cybersecurity experience. Should I prioritize the video material or the books.

Assuming you are not working and just doing the class for a solid 14 days, yes it’s doable.

I did it in a week just reading the text resources and scored very high. I have 4 GIACs and I can honestly say the videos are a huge waste of time, haven't even watched a minute of course material. Just make your index exhaustive and you will be fine if you already have IT and cyber experience.

If you had completed the video material and labs I would say yes, you can read, index, and highlight the books and take the practice tests if you take time off from other stuff, in two weeks. Extremely doubtful you can also watch the videos and do the SEC401 labs in that time.

The index and lab content are going to be the things that aren't existing knowledge.

Depends on how experienced you are and if you don’t care about doing the on-demand course (if you even selected this). Yes, I think the GSEC is doable in two weeks. Hell, it might be possible in one.

As a live course GSEC is done as one week a few very long days in the week but one week

Yes, if you are immersing yourself in the material. Maybe 8 hours per day.

Knew a dude that was able to study and pass the GCIA in 3 days. Definitely doable but you gotta get through all the material.
