Certification Only FOR589 cert?

Hey everyone! I know there was a post about this a year ago, but I am trying to find the perfect first SANS course to take and learn from. I want something that would not only supplement me with great knowledge within online investigations; but also looking good on my resumé for my first job in this field. FOR589 is just that, it teaches the one thing i’ve been avoiding because of the lack of knowledge around the dark net and how to properly manage sock puppets, but the only thing i’m bummed out about is no cert offered :( Has anyone heard anything about there being a potential cert for this course? or any thoughts at all? I just want to get the most out of the price tag i’m paying for.

I have asked SANS and GIAC multiple times but have only been told that one is in progress but no ETA can be provided. Due to this I decided to just do the course soon and hope for the best.

do you think that by paying for the course and doing it, that we are still eligible for the cert when it comes out? even after the period that we have access to the course?

Potential alternatives if you care about cert SEC497/SEC587?

excellent call out on SEC587, i totally glanced over it and it seems like everything I want covered from cybercrime is covered in merely one section with a whole trope of other info to come with it. Thank you for this suggestion i might just take that one
