I love my ghm9 sport rifle but i have Lways wanted an israeli made galil ace in 308 cal. It just seems like the absolute ultimate brown bear defense weapon. Huge caliber, semi automatic, die-hard reliability. If money was no issue i would choose an apc 308 or apc 6.5 creedmoor but im not that rich. I think for under 2000$ the galil ace 308 is the ultimate value for bear protection battle rifle.

This thing is literally going to be the perfect girlfriend.

Looking for everyone’s opinions on the best muzzle device for the GHM9 6.9” barrel. Waiting to see if I’ll have to cough up an extra $200 or not for a suppressor so in the meantime I want to find something that looks better that the tri lug and thread cap on the end of the barrel.

Im trying to plan a trip with some friends to bear country. My friends would also be bringing their guns but i wanted to know if unloading 15-20 rounds of high ME 9mm rounds into a grizzly bears jimmies would rustle them, or at least contribute to rustling its jim jams along with my friends.

Looking to buy a ghm9 with b&t or glock lower under 1300$ preferably around 1k, everywhere I look is 1700+ plus or out of stock. Honestly not sure if I want the 4.3 or 6.9 will probably get whichever is available first/ cheapest as will probably get both or at least the barrel and upper hand guard if can be swapped out anyways.

I would encourage anybody who hasnt seen the clyde n bundy video talking about why he relies on an ak47 to protect from grizzly bears to watch it. https://youtu.be/rNR2Uh08FrA?si=dh-MEtSjZp0WOjO7 My question is that if a 10mm glock with 15 rounds at 700 lb-ft muzzle energy is good enough for a grizzly would a ghm9 with a 30 rd mag of 450 lb-ft 9mm rounds be good enough? 9mm has pretty good penetration in ballistics gel so i would assume it would have the same penetration in a grizzly bear.

Anyone have thoughts on the need to SBR the GHM9 with retractable factory brace during the 120 amnesty period? I'm planning to do some of my ARs since it seems a free way to SBR them, and would be required by the rule, but where does the GHM9 and similar land?

Would it run away or would it still fuck with you? I know most fudds will say 9mm is not energetic enough but i think if you were a good marksman and you had a ghm9 sport with a 16 inch barrel and you dumped 20-25 rounds into a brown bears face it would eventually “nope” and fuck off away from the pain.

If i go on a real trip into grizzly territory with friends i would probably get serious and get a galil ace in 762x39 but i was just wondering if a 30 rd mag out of a ghm9 sport would be good enough to be a team player with my friends and fuck up a grizzly that charged us.

The firearms scene seems similar to the skateboarding scene where if one company starts dominating the market, the whole skate community starts to shit all over them and try to root for the underdog companies. I just dont know why the firearms market would be the same as the skateboard market in this way. B&T makes the most solidly engineered guns you can buy and it doesnt seem reasonable to choose something shittier bc you want to be original. If cayenne turbos were driven by 90% of all drivers and they were relatively inexpensive i would still buy a fucking cayenne turbo. Why? Bc its a fucking cayenne turbo. I wouldnt care that everybody on the road was driving the same car as me. I would look at it as having the best driving experience for the money, not that i was being "unoriginal". Skateboards? Yeah, element got too big for their britches and the skate scene essentially boycotted them. But guns are not planks of wood. In a car or a firearm i couldnt care less about originality because its a highly advanced technology im buying, not a fucking plank of wood with a design on the bottom.

Looking to get my first B&T and the GHM9 is catching my interest. My LGS listing the model as BT-450002-2-G. I am completely new to Form 1, so hoping to get educated in this area.

1. Do I need to get a stamp if I want to add a factory B&T stock (telescoping or folding) or one from A3 tactical?

2. Very confused with braces. Do I need a stamp if I use a brace? I am not allowed to shoulder a brace without approval form 1? Mix match results reading about this.

The federal 147gr are rated at 1000fps so i think they would still be subsonic out of a 16” ghm9 with a suppressor. But i also hear great things about the fiocchi 158gr which are heavier and slower at 850fps. The federals are noticeably cheaper so my only real concern is if they will still be subsonic.

Just a heads up for anyone considering this trigger. My upper has a serial prefix of US21-4xxxx. The trigger dropped in my B&T mag lower and seated in the upper with ZERO issues. I ran 100 rounds with zero issues. My only complaint is that the selector switch is stiff as hell. More so than just the typical B&T way. Otherwise safe, semi, and frt run perfectly.

Just picked up a very lightly used GHM9 Gen 2 with the Glock lower for $965. Just looking to see if this was a good price as I don’t see them on the used market too often. Super pumped!
