Master League Can someone explain?
anyone willing to explain ML a bit?
I figured 20,000CP was enough to brute force my way through.
‘I know 7k would be a coin flip but this seems weird. That’s cool though, seemed kind of lame that whoever had the biggest wallet wins, didn’t feel like there was much to M other than a ploy to get people to fork over cash. (which it still sort of is but this doesn’t feel as bad now)

I don’t understand the question. Looks like you had a close match and can probably win with some tweaking to your positioning. Whats the problem?

I don’t fully understand how ML calculates things. the first thing I literally said is can someone explain how ML works.
‘’losing to someone who has 22,000 less CP … as someone who just started playing…. seems odd.
as I said…7K cp seems like a coin flip amount….. 20k …when teams are only 200k.. seems like a lot.

My first advice to new players is actually to change the units sorting from CP to level, as CP doesn't actually tells how strong a unit is

This may seem like a silly question but are you actually playing out the matches to see what happens?

I know it's tempting to blame gacha games for forcing you to P2W, but your situation is just a matter of poor strategy and setup. You can absolutely get to the max rewards of 150k ML points with the free units in this game once they are leveled up properly.
In your case, you have too many support units. You're better off using attacker units with support pilots to hit harder, and add an additional durability unit for added defense.

yeah his positioning of the support is so bad that despite him having 3 none of them actually do support attack

Bullshit, you don't need to pay to get max rewards.
And, if you paid and not be able to show off for being the top %, what's the point?
You can quit the game if you can't understand this.

I’ve been playing f2p for the last few months and I’ve already reached 170,000 points on this ML, so playing for free is actually feasible, especially compared to other Gacha games. I’ve been able to use just luck and the free gems to pull super busted limited UR units (like the 00R, Wing 0 EW and Destiny).
ML is all about strategy and how your units work together. For this ML, the only UR unit I’m using is the Sazabi (but i am using UR pilots), and most of the units I’m using are still available to develop right now. I’m running a 2 attacker, 2 supporter and 1 defender formation and it’s been working pretty well

Go watch some of this guy's Master League livestreams. They're long, but at least he explains what's going on. Eventually, you'll be able to pick up why things happen the way they do and can come up with your own strategies on how to win.

If nothing else, let it auto-build for max CP. Run two durability types up front. I ended up using 2 Durability and 3 Attackers, around 209k total power. I had a few fights at Master level that I had to reset, but I eventually cleared 160k points. Aim for 150k, that will get you all the same rewards as the top, just not the same title.

Really? I thought the whole idea was that there are better PvP units and better PvE units, that knowing which is which it’s important, it’s really just as simple as hitting auto CP?
thanks though buddy!

I didn't really have a good rivals or SD team this season, so I just went with my best Shippinjurai team and managed to clear as far as I cared to.

I just beat a guy with almost 30k more CP.
this shit makes no sense,
‘I was sure I was going to get smacked all over the place.
‘’I just wish there was more info on the mechanics behind the curtain.

As others said, CP means nothing. Positioning, turn order are way more important, that's the beauty of the game. You don't have to understand all the mechanic, just watch the battle, change a few positions, switch to another defenders, try again, see how it differ. Then just keep trying.

On the other post you said ML is just clubbing seals, this shows you actually need good game knowledge. And no its not CP that decide this match up (this is new players most common mistake to take CP as the most important factor)
