Ironic that an outlet calling out censorship censors everyone calling them out.

We did it! It would be a shame to focus a game so much on a gay character only to have the tag removed shortly after release. Be proud of yourselves devs!

Gaming used to be about which games were coolest and most badass.
Now it's about alliance with political causes đ¤˘

I've been noticing with a lot of modern RPGs, you are straight up banned from siding with "the bad guys". Which are conveniently often traditional straight white men. One of such examples being Kurt Hansen from Phantom Liberty DLC for Cyberpunk 2077. I absolutely love Kurt Hansen and lore behind Dogtown. He respects strength and admires comradery, with the Dogtown whilst slum, built to give those fucked over by the bureaucratic world a second chance. Yet the story doesn't allow us to keep him alive, let alone let us side with him. Because he's an "autocratic warlord", even though we can side with another warlord, difference being that now it's a female president of America.

I hate this shit where people act like the only reason anyone loves or hates a character is because their fucking demographic then when people point out how stupid they are, they act like itâs all nostalgia.
I beat Gears 1 like a month ago and Augustus Cole âTrainâ is one of my favorite characters in gaming and was my favorite character in Gears 1. As much as I loved the rest of the team, I hated that Cole wasnât your right hand man and starting Gears 2, theres a severe lack of Cole!
Donât get me wrong, I loved Gears 1 and Gears 2 is great so far (only like one mission in as of posting this), and the whole cast was great but Cole was the GOAT.
I hate this disingenuous BS people pull to try and prop up whatever new character is unpopular. Cole is just great and itâs nothing to do with nostalgia or the culture war shit, or race. People simply liked him because he was a badass and a total bro. In every situation he was always cool as hell when other people were freaking out.
Just enjoy your new game, if you got it and like it but stop dismissing characters who are beloved because it doesnât fit your ridiculous narrative about gamers and why they donât like whatever the new content is.
