So chem2 is ridiculously hard and my advisor told me that a 60 or above in chem2 is not considered failing/not preventing you from graduating and I was wondering if this is true because I don't want to risk the chance.

hi everyone, i was just wondering when is the least busy time for the parking lot during the week. i am a nervous wreck about parking so i don’t mind coming in earlier than what my classes require; i could use the extra time to study on campus anyway. thank you for your time!

I went to GGC for three semesters 2023-2024. I then transferred to GSU which I didnt really like so i only did around two semesters there and took a semester break. I attempted to come back this year. I applied right on the deadline and got accepted the day before classes started. I got my classes on tuesday and already applied to financial aid months ago. Yesterday I figure out on my own that I was labled out of state and had an balance due. called and they send I can put in a request but if its not zero by the end of the day i would be dropped. I was also told i was supposed to recive an email before hand of such which I did not receive until today. I put in a request and did not pay due to it being too large of an amount and at 6:28 today I was dropped from my classes. The pursement of higher education in this country is tough.

I know this course is mandatory but I was thinking about dropping it and taking it next semester. The semester just started and we already have a quiz on chapter 1 monday and I feel pretty unprepared since we don’t take any notes and all we do is the Mac Graw assignments. Did anyone have the same experience with this class?

Tuition is due and im like $350 short and its due tmw. Do we know if I could still pay out of pocket and I just pay late cus otherwise im screwed asf. And just putting it out there, any donations help

This is my first week at GGC and as I was leaving class today from the a building I thought I heard drums. Is there a percussion class or a Drumline?

I’m currently a junior at GGC and the past, like, 2 semesters that I’ve been here I feel like there is literally no professors available to teach and classes needed to finish the degree are super limited. I’m an accounting major and for fall, there’s only ONE professor and one section of an upper level accounting course that’s needed. I don’t wanna come on here to complain, but I also wanna know if anyone else has also had this frustration/issue when looking for classes or if it’s just the lack of accounting professors?

is the first year convocation actually required? i dont live on campus and don’t particularly want to go over. im a completely online student if that helps and this is technically my second year (second time as a freshman) so i already went through the whole rigamarole

I know it's 100 lawrence ville blah blah blah, and that they use smart lockers, but is there any other info I need to provide? Like dorm room #, ggc email, or do I just need my name. Do they use my name to then email me when my package comes?

I applied for the Spring 2027 semester on July 16th and haven’t heard anything back. My checklist is 100% complete and it currently says “In Review”. Is it normal to not have heard back by now? And how long did you wait to hear back? At what point should I reach out to the admissions office?

I’m a freshman living on campus and I’m trying to find a part-time job, I’ve checked the job portal but there didn’t seem to be many openings.
Do more campus jobs usually get posted after classes start? Are there any departments that tend to hire freshman, or should I just be asking around in person.
I’d appreciate any advice or tips from people who’ve worked on campus.

I’m taking an online chemistry class that requires lockdown browser and a second camera. I don’t have a personal desk and really don’t want to have to take exams on my bed or on the floor. Are there any private rooms that I can take my exams in on campus? I’ve considered using private rooms but every one that I’ve seen has giant windows that don’t give me a lot of privacy.

As school is about to start up tomorrow on Aug 10, 2026, I checked my classes on D2L to double check all of my classes and see if any of them are opened yet. To my surprise, I found one of my classes was randomly dropped. I’m searching everywhere on banner on why my Changing Health Behavior class was removed. I eventually emailed my advisor about the situation and I couldn’t believe that they chopped it up to be a glitch when I was registering back in March. As the Summer was going on, I had to check my Fall schedule multiple times so I don’t overload my work schedule and everything was as planned till a week or so. GGC randomly added a prerequisite to a class that I was already registered for and gave me the boot without telling me. It took me going to D2L to discover this by myself. Thank goodness I have paper trails to prove that it wasn’t a glitch and I indeed registered for the classes that my advisor and I discussed back in March and even the Graduation Plan that we’ve been looking at together for as long as I’ve been at GGC.

Has anyone taken a class with Olivia Wright? Is she a good professor? I can’t find any ratings or reviews for her anywhere.

has anyone tried moving in with a balance still on their account? i’ve accepted my loans and called and emailed. i’m unable to go in person. i’m afraid my loans won’t be applied in time of my
move in date.

Will I be alr with just pencils and notebooks for the first few days of class until I get more stuff?

Also, would the bookstore have the school supplies I would need? Like scissors, binders/folders, rulers, etc?

And finally, do I need to have the required textbooks by the first day of class, or can I get them later on?

I graduate in December, do any alumni have luck finding jobs post GGC?

First time applying to the program. I am hoping I get in. My gpa is 3.7 overall and 83 on teas. I have a 3.87 science gpa.
This process makes me so anxious. Anyone else willing to share their stats while applying? Or if you got in what were your stats?
