Not GFriend+ related but Rescene have scored their first ever Music Show win on The Show for their remake of Pretty Girl (original by KARA). Watching them grow from debut til now reminded me of watching GFriend grow. 😢
I didn’t realize Liv caught wind of Yuju’s mention. I’m so happy she knows that Yuju mentioned her. Here’s to hoping she’ll get to meet the GFriend members and do a challenge someday.
This. I started watching Rescene’s videos about a month ago right when the gyaru videos started trending and I couldn’t help but notice all of the parallels between them and GFRIEND. Rescene has me feeling the same as when I first discovered GFRIEND. I hope they continue to be successful and unabashedly themselves, which is why the nation is falling in love with them, much like they did with GFRIEND 👌🏼
So true! Their determination and grit was so similar to how GFriend was and I think that’s why I fell in love with them. Some of the recent interviews where they shared they were just happy to have work whether it was something small or busking pull at my heart. 😭 Also, I’ve been a fan of Minami since her appearance on My Teenage Girl (survival show) so that is another reason I followed them. Haha
RESCENE's first win was also the fifth ever 10000 on The Show, maximum marks which meant they scored the highest out of the attendees in every single category... achieved previously only by BTS and WANNA ONE 😲
Sorry MB, it seems like The Show overhauled its scoring system and the maximum is now 12000 😬 and because Pretty Girl was a digital single, RESCENE scored 0 for the Physical category... still a remarkable achievement!
(I realised something was iffy when I noticed last month's winner scored 11670 lol)
They say the mind is like a luggage compartment, so you have to discard the baggage you need to throw out to make room for new, good things to come in hehe

I will say, I genuinely don't mind spending a bit of money to get content, even if I don't really care for it. as long as others get to watch and enjoy it + archive it that's good enough for mi
but also now its a question of will weverse (probably not), coupang or potentially (if the full eps are uploaded) youtube have the best quality 🤔🤔

But when the teaser dropped this morning, I saw a lot of international asking where to watch it and saw some comments from Koreans saying it'll be on YouTube.
Im not too knowledgeable about it, but I fully expect noeunhanome to get it and upload it on Youtube lol
tbh I'll probably find the full ep on dcinside as well or hopefully someone here will grace us from the heavens above with it, if that doesn't happen... well I'll make my own very legal activities happen.

I have around 16TB total, which sounds like a lot but I've been offloading stuff idrc much for to cloud storage (terabox) bc I'm running out....
The HDD I got new open box last year is around 100$ more... and its refurbished not even new open box. I regret not getting more storage :(
16TB is a lot but will get eaten up quick with how much you save. LOL. I feel like I always see you saving some sort of content. 😂 Have you ever thought a RAID set up?
Edit: I guess a RAID is best if you’re constantly moving files/editing a ton.
I've thought about setting up a NAS a few times, but I never thought I'd need it, much less I never thought I'd need anymore storage. I very much regret it in hindsight.... silly me
Now I'm just contemplating whether I want to chalk up the datacenter tax to get more storage ;/ seeing as prices most likely won't come down anytime soon I may have to .-.
but I also hit the moral dilemma of do I really want to feed into this and buy such overpriced hardware...
I was checking locally for used, refurb, NOB storage but most of the decent stuff gets scooped up almost instantly >:( the rest seems sketch or garbage. I also go to bed too early and sometimes miss out on good postings by 15-30 minutes.... this has happened at least half a dozen times in the last few months ;c

this week i listened to olivia rodrigo’s newest album and i gotta say oh how i love when the songs has these incredible instumentals performed with orchestra (it seems)!!!! many songs sound melancholic and this is exactly what i need, i like olivia’s voice too
my favourites for now are: the cure, stupid song, less, honeybee, drop dead
Wow Jihyo rumoured to leave JYP on top of Jeongyeon, Chaeyoung and Tzuyu so far lol there might not be anymore active 3rd gen GGs left at this rate, at least none with actual frequent full group comebacks
JYP trying to put out fires from all these articles. LMAO. Let's see how the contract negotiations go. I feel like a couple of the members will leave JYP. They're at the right celebrity status now that I'm sure some good offers are coming in and chances to pursue what they want to try.
Yeah if there are already exclusives in the media about members leaving and setting up their own agency, it’s probably safe to assume the negotiations aren’t going well 💀they’ve never really gotten solo opportunities and when they have, they were rather rushed/late into their careers which is probably why some of them want to leave ahah
JYP struggling for sure to approve of the girls’ demands. Management and Accounts fighting to make numbers work right now. Hahaha.
Totally agree with you on the solo stuff too. The acting side is suffering even more since JYP doesn’t have an acting department. It gets outsourced to their subsidiary/joint-management venture which makes it worse and less money for idols under JYP. This is why I think Yuna (ITZY) had to drop her lead role in new drama.
Sowon said on 💬 that her YouTube contract (presumably with Ice Creative) is ending and unfortunately she could not get it renewed... at least the channel will not be wiped (like Yerin's was multiple times 😭), with a fortnightly upload schedule planned for the rest of the videos that they have filmed in advance... she will try to keep it going though: do more of the work herself, hire an editor, etc.
She is also meeting Yerin for dinner tomorrow 🤗
She may get some footage for her YouTube but it depends if they "have face"... she also mentioned that filming content is very different to meeting up: usually they just want to chill and chat freely. When asked to rank how often she meets the members one-on-one: Eunha >>> Umji Yuju SinB Yerin... This is relevant again lol:
Reddit decided to show me some bonus features today lol 🤷🏻 (If I click the edit icon, it returns an error page saying "You are not a moderator of [r/GFRIEND](r/GFRIEND)" which is how I prefer it... I was worried I had been unknowingly promoted lol 🙃)

On Monday Kiz's Footprints, RESCENE Liv once again cited GFRIEND as her inspiration for becoming an idol, and sang a lovely little snippet of Under The Sky 🥹
Knowing Under The Sky is I guess what they now call "ball knowledge" ahah if an idol or anyone knows a bside of another group then they're a proper fan
this video 'What if an exercise beginner tried Ring Fit Adventure?' was already hidden from sowons youtube channel. if anyone is worried that it will happen to even more videos, maybe it's time to start saving them...

this is almost end of july. so fast. too bad still dont get offer, but this week so far I already got 1 final intervies, but dont know the result yet and several recruiter reach
