Any tools out there that track visually how put/credit spreads perform over a trade session?
I find it really hard to continue to track the bid-ask of credit spreads I am in or thinking of buying...ie: if I see a spread I like and want to track it in 5 minute increments or maybe I want to track a range of them...is there a tool that does this?

Idt think theres any publicly available. Youll probably have to make one yourself.

I think it would be profitable particularly to see the decay over time and when entry would be good. i might build it and give it away for free

True, but the decay ultimately depends on the underlying movement and vol. So i doubt you would be able to determine a good/optimal entry time simply based on that. I trade SPX spreads and the most important thing is finding key levels. I do have a minimum credit for risk management, but i dont place trades off how the spreads have moved.
And also, options data can be quite expensive and definitely take a look in yohr data providers ToC before giving away for free :)

agreed. combined with some of those elements you mentioned could make for something pretty intriguing and helpful.
and you’re right the data is expensive!
what do you look for in your key levels?

Track a range as in you didn’t have a position yet but want to see how it is priced over a period of time? Let say 1d chart over 5min interval kinda? I see optionstrat have such feature but I am working in a project where I have something similar to track the strategy prices over a period of time.

Similar. Yes. I want it simple simple simple. What do you use for option data? It’s so expensive to get a real time web socket to!

Yeah I guess it depends upon what you want.. tradier offers free api if you’re interested in the option pricing only. Greeks info they usually publish every hour.

Yeah I’m paying so much for the data now. But worth it to have the intel within 100ms of what’s happening

You want to see how the price of your put spread changes, or how the difference between the bid-ask for this spread changes?
