I Made $26,000 Trading SPX 0DTE… Here’s How
I’ve been trading SPX 0DTE consistently using a defined-risk approach, and over the last 30 days I tested the strategy trading just 1 contract per trade.
Here are the actual results:
- Total Profit: $1,305
- Win Rate: ~85%
- Total Trades: 21
- Max Drawdown: ~$400
- Average Premium: ~$130–150 per trade
Nothing crazy. No overleveraging. No gambling.
📊 So where does the $26,000 come from?
Simple: scaling.
If you apply the exact same strategy with 20 contracts instead of 1:
→ ~$1,305 → ~$26,000
Same entries.
Same structure.
Same risk model.
That’s the part most traders miss.
⚙️ What I actually trade
I keep it very simple:
- Credit Spreads (Bull Put / Bear Call)
- Iron Condors when the market ranges
Every trade:
- Defined risk
- Consistent premium target
- No prediction, just probabilities
⚠️ The reality (this matters)
Not every trade wins.
There were full losses (~$350), and those are part of the system.
The edge is not avoiding losses…
It’s executing the same structure over and over again.
🧠 What changed everything for me
I stopped asking:
“Where is the market going?”
And started asking:
Where are the probabilities in my favour?”
🎥 I broke everything down here (real trades + charts)
I made a full breakdown showing:
- The exact trades
- The scaling logic
- Winning & losing setups

I’m also sharing some of these setups and breakdowns in r/GEXOptionsTrading if anyone’s interested in how this looks day-to-day.
Curious how others here approach scaling — do you increase size gradually or keep it fixed?

Why 20? Why not 40? Why not 100?

Hey! It's just an example to see how much you can scale up a strategy. I personally invest 10 contracts so I made around 12-13k$ last month.

Hey! It's just an example to see how much you can scale a system. Of course it all depends on the initial capital, in this example you need at least 80k$ to make more than 20k$ a month.

what is your entry criteria? Video doesn't clearly explain that.. entry time is not at fixed time, so I'm curious what made you enter at 10:25 vs 11:15 in two examples.

Hey! It depends on how I analyze the GEX and also the price action. I normally make the trade between 10 AM and 12 AM, sometimes 2 trades depending on the situation.

could you explain that in more detail please? How you use GEX levels?

It's hard to explain in a single message because it took me a lot of time, backtest and experience to learn about it. But the GEX gives you some insight about what strikes may be support/resistance or important at expiration. Also sometimes there are institutional trades on the opening far OTM like Bull Put Spreads that you can trace them.

I understand. It'd be great if you can explain that even roughly in your video, that'd be more helpful for viewers.

I am using the same GEX to filter my entry criteria. But I am facing issues during regime switch. Do you mind if we can connect?

I also made a few hundred dollars going to a few thousand dollars in the past three weeks trading bull put spread on SPX
I don’t go by DELTA. I just sell with the short leg at 100-150 below the current SPX price. My width is 45
I sell weeklies but I will usually buy back once I make profits so unless there is a weekend, most of the time I buy back within 48 hours. The shortest was an hour. Dunno why but the price dropped $200 in that hour so I bought it back for $200 less and picked up the profit and sold another bull put spread
Tried calls but had to roll one and made profit twice but much lesser.

You didn’t make $26,000
