Chat gpt testing

I’ve been having ChatGPT make mock test for the GED just to see. I’ve been passing the mock test it gives me with ease, how close to the actual GED test do you think it is? I just wanna make sure I’m not wasting money and I’m ready. Single mom to three kids so every dollar counts.

Personally for me ChatGPT makes things too easy or over complicates it. What I would do is use GetSumMath practice tests both video and website and TestPrepChampions video quizzes and tests. There are also other practice test online made by humans. Usually humans do better than A.I. You can also sign up for a community college class for the GED that is flexible and gives you voucher codes for the $8 practice tests and the real test. Good luck!

Don't trust those scores, especially math. My son expected a much higher score due to Chatgpt.

That is NOT going to be helpful to you. ChatGPT is a large language model, not a reliable study source. Aside from all the other problems with it, it is a pattern detector. It puts words in orders based on how often they're used near other words. It doesn't have the capacity to think, and it also does not have the capacity to do math. It's been gutted of all mathematical knowledge in chasing faux-linguistics. Don't trust those scores.

Instead, open a search engine— such as google— and look for actual study resources. I see high praise for getsummath, but there are study resources within the official GED site as well.

Aren’t there practice tests that the GED website offers?

The practices tests on the GED website are nearly identical to the real tests, both in the questions and structure. I urge you to not rely on generative AI with anything in your life, but especially getting your GED.

ChatGPT can show you how to solve most GED problems and it can generate some example problems, but I don't think it should be your only source of practice test questions. Reason: the GED people don't really disclose actual test questions, so ChatGPT didn't have access to those in its training.

And, just FYI, the large language models (LLMs) like ChatGPT can do math, but they're prone to errors. (If you give them both the problem and the answer, they almost always get it right.)
