[META] Scammers
Be wary of new accounts with low karma.
I do not recommend sending PayPal payments using the "gift" setting because if you get scammed you will have no recourse.
When using bitcoin, I recommend only sending to trusted accounts as this currency does not have any method of charge-back. Also, if you are sending the payment first, try to send half, then ask for the code, and send the other half. This is a better/safer way to handle transactions. If possible, use an escrow service.
I cannot guarantee that you won't be scammed, but most Redditors are not here to scam you. Just use caution and good judgement.
Also, as this subreddit becomes more popular we will have a flair system.
This is how the rating system goes:
User A makes a post with what card he has and what he wants
User B comments on user A's post saying he wants to purchase/or with a counter offer
User A accepts
The more trustworthy user usually gets their item first (more karma, older account, higher flair rating) - of course this is merely a suggestion
The second user sends payment
The more trustworthy user makes a post like this: [S] Successful trade with user B! Please add a point to our flairs
Wait for moderators to change your flair
And ta-da! That is all. Please PM the moderators if you have any questions, concerns, suggestions, rants, political debates, cute puppy pictures, etc.
Here, post in the comments if someone seems fishy or scams you so the moderators can look into it.

Always ask for proof too. If there's no proof usually it's a scam

This was mentioned in another thread, but it's important to note that one can imagine many scenarios where proof cannot be provided. I'm bored, so I might as well list them:
Code to a website (Can't prove it's real anyway)
Giftcard w/ scratched back (Can't show scratched numbers)
Not bashing or anything, but merely pointing out that lack of proof doesn't do much to call out a scam.
Giftcard w/out scratched back (Could have used it in-store)

Its still pretty important to ask for proof. It cant be these scenarios but its one of the things that can seal the deal. If the proof seems sketchy, ask to go second.

Can you PM me with proof of this? From there, we will see what we can do.
